I’ve let myself fall off the path—no gym, no runs, no range time for me. Sure, I’ve been at the range, but it’s been to train others. I’ve poured into their development while neglecting my own. That stops now.

I can’t lead from the rear. I can’t talk discipline and grit while letting mine slip away. I owe it to myself, to the people who count on me, to stay sharp—physically, mentally, tactically.

Reality can be difficult, and it is easy to avoid situations that are uncomfortable. However, taking responsibility for what you can control is what allows you to move forward and change your circumstances.
