I know this might be old, but I wanted to share my thoughts on Kitakami
I think Kitakami is connected to Sinnoh and Hisui.
When Kitakami was first introduced, it wasn't declared if it was an independent region or if it was connected to one of the existing regions. But looking over the region, I am convinced that it is connected to Sinnoh.
Kitakami and Sinnoh (And Hisui) have a strong history and cultural connection to their legends and myths.
All three are inspired by Japan.
And when exploring Hisui, there are a lot of places to explore that kind of remind me of Kitakami's wilderness.
So when this is why I think Kitakami is part of Sinnoh and Hisui, maybe even a part of Hisui that decided to be separate or be independent from Sinnoh when Hisui was changing into Sinnoh and (possibly) Kitakami.

Just so everyone knows if this Hashimoto character is rumiko I'm gonna look like this. All the while screaming:
"NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!'
As if I lost someone dear to me in war or in a duel.
Now I have my reason for this...
I'm been rooting for mama Shimada from 2024. Am I still her number 1 fan and is she my wife.
Yes.
But besides that, I want lore and reason as why!! She joined the Hashimoto clan.
I don't want lazy writing because "Oh she was a spy..."
Babes she wouldn't even bother having kids with Sojiro if she agreed to marry him, let alone have a child with him...Actually no...TWO CHILDREN!!!
Now is that a theory maybe so, but I hardly doubt that because Hanzo, Genji and the people of Hanamura and Kanezaka knew her, they acrively knew her!!!!!!
Now is it possible that she could be Rumiko or a distant relative of Rumiko? Maybe
But I need, something anything.
I'm so excited and nervous about seeing the trailer, that it's not healthy for my anxiety and getting worked up for the whole lore of the Hashimoto family and how they've had beef with the Shimada clan for a long time.
Honestly which ever the route the devs take would be amazing, but again I don't thing that this new hero is Rumiko for multiple of reasons because she would remember her sons let alone the name of "Shimada" instead of.
"How interesting"
That's not my beloved wife Rumiko, again my own theory/HC is that this character was deeply in love with Rumiko and of course as faith would have it Rumiko picked Sojiro.
If Rumiko was to get married into either clans she wouldn't be happy anyways, and she stayed with the Shimada clan because of her son's and again I'll keep saying this. Even Sojiro, because yes I do believe Rumiko & Sojiro were in love with one another.
Because for me Rumiko is just a random person who got married into the Yakuza family and when I mean married I mean, she had an arrange marriage.
Again this is all theories and speculations that I have, whichever the devs take, I don't mind but honest to god my heart and anxiety cannot handle this amount of stress.
I've been waiting on Rumiko for years when she was first mention and had to go off by the little crumbs from "Where Honor Lives" and my ass was indeed correct.
But if the Hashimoto clan wanted her or at very least asked for an arrange marriage with Rumiko only to find out that the Shimada clan swooped in, I wouldn't be surprised if they kidnapped her and held her hostage.
4 things that's I predict that is going to happen when this Hashimoto character comes out!!!
We might have a repeat of Dragons again but instead of Sojiro Narrating it we have Rumiko narrating it instead of Sojiro and not about the Shimada family but more about the Hashimoto family. How things changed in under a final decision of love, loyalty and family. (PLEASE DEVS RUMIKO NEEDS TO BE VOICED BY KAREN FUKUHARA TvT)
We'll probably have novel continuing the lore of "Where honor Lives" talking about the Shimadas and Hashimotos with how they've been at odds with each over for a long time. Which if that happens I will be excited.
Or my personal HC: This new Hashimoto character IF she is truly Rumiko Shimada or is at least somewhat related to the Hashimoto...I have a deep feeling it's gonna be a combination of Widowmaker and Emre. How? Hashimoto Brainwashed Rumiko...I know so based but think about it but with Widowmaker going through her withdrawal from Moira experiments as she slowly starting to feel again which probably very painful for her but still it'll make sense for Rumiko to be brainwashed.
Fourth option....This new Hashimoto character is now hear me out is Rumiko's sister, the aunt to Hanzo and Genji. Now this might be a high possibility to the idea that would be earth shattering for Hanzo and Genji, because they would be going through so much denial that their own mother is a Hashimoto, which bring in the angst.
Okay I know the third option is far-fetched but the possibility is unlikely, but I won't be surprised if they went down the route of her doing so, because in my heart which...She "Abandoned" the Shimada clan to protect her husband, her sons, Kiri, Asa and Toshiro...Also before you ask why Emre? Because I want to see her fight to regain control since, that is something that Emre is doing and not to mention with Widowmaker is slowly regaining her emotions again, so having a thrid option of two characters who are struggling with their morality would be very angsty and sad for her sons, Kiriko and not to mention Toshiro & Asa.
In which BOOM!!! You get Hashimoto Rumiko.
Will any of these happen?
No...But I do owe the devs my life because I've been begging none stop about Rumiko when she was first mention in where honor lives so yeah that's also another thing.
If I find out that Rumiko isn't mention I will be sobbing, like full on sobbing because I've been waiting patiently for years now, this has to be the moment she needs to get mention or so help me I will be crying T^T
So a bit of a personal theory after Episode 8 of TADC came out and some time to dwell on the new information we received.
TADC SPOILERS BELOW!!! ( And also theorizing :>! )
I think I'm inclined to believe at this point that, obviously Scratch was attempting immortality; The Brain Tumor, being a large aspect of Caine and the Other Ai's creation, stuff like that.
However an idea a few people including me have probably come to the conclusion of was this; Scratch intending for the Other Ai after Caine to be his Digital Vessel.
If he was really trying to achieve a way to escape death into a digital realm, then clearly he would need the ability to make things inside of the Program. With that, he'd be able to override the Other Ai and make the Digital Realm his home.
And of course, regardless of whether or not his consciousness was inside his body, it'd keel over either way; That headset had some kind of warning label on it that meant something dangerous, so I'm also under the assumption he didn't intend on coming back from his experience with it.
Essentially just nip it in the bud and kill his body, get rid of the tumor, and live out the rest of his days in Digital Paradise!
..Admittedly something that sounds good on paper, but unless he planned to have Internet Access or something, I bet it'd gradually decay into boredom and then insanity. Probably a good thing-ish? That whatever it was didn't succeed?
Although given what we know about him and his Abstraction, it was probably going to be Lose-Lose no matter how we look at it.
My personal theory of events is this: Scratch and the Other workers at C&A make Caine then the Second Ai, and Scratch makes plans via the headset to transfer himself to the Second Ai; However, Caine's assimilation of it to better his performance was under the radar, and no one knew until they all got stuck there. How they did is still up in the air since there's only ONE headset, although i'm guessing Caine pulled some weird shit with the Computer the Digital Circus is run on in order to drag them in.
And as for Scratch afterwards, I can assume that without their bodies, his tumor would be no problem; BUT an earlier theory I made back when Episode 7 released about Caine attempting to modify too much in their minds inevitably would result in his abstraction; Tumor or not, Scratch's fate is just sad.
I almost wanna pin down the behavior and concept of the Abstractions as tumors in nature. Not like ACTUAL consequences of being stuck in the Circus without their natural bodies since, there's always the possibility that someone knows what's happening with them and disposing of them if the Headset allegedly and outright kills them.
With the Abstraction itself, its that gradual mental decay that would affect people similar to a brain tumor. Not all at once, but enough build-up of that stress, the breakdowns and desperation that can overheat the brain, it's essentially just one big self-created tumor; One that CAN'T be fixed.
...I have a feeling that none of them are going to escape the Circus.
I think I just realized why Jax hated Evil Jax so much.
For those who don't remember or know what I'm talking about, in Episode 5, during the end of the episode, the players were playing a softball game against 'evil' versions of themselves, (except for Gangle for whatever reason) And when we see Evil Jax, he's basically a shy, sweet, nicer version of Jax, and Jax HATED him, saying he wanted to kill him and wanted Evil Jax dead, and just practically mauling him when he's given the chance.
And I always wondered why Jax hated him so much, but with Episode 8, I think I finally understand why.
During his torture/nightmare session, we see his skin getting pulled off and shadowy versions of Pomni, Ribbit, and Kaufmo laughing at him cruelly. So, it's a good guess that he's fears vulnerability that if people look past his shell and see what's underneath, they'll laugh at him.
So, it makes sense why he hated Evil Jax so much, because Evil Jax was basically what he perceives as vulnerable and I think he does see himself in Evil Jax and he hates that and wants it gone and dead.
Maybe I'm just overthinking, but what do you guys think?

This might contain spoilers for Poppy Playtime Chapter 5, so if you don't want to risk being spoiled, DO NOT READ THIS. You have been warned.
Since watching plenty of playthroughs of Poppy Playtime Chapter 5, I wanted to give my own theory about why exactly The Prototype is so obsessed with Poppy.
Okay, near the end of chapter 5, we can find a tape that features Elliot Ludwig speaks with a boy called Oliver, whom Elliot calls 'Ollie' the name the Prototype took when deceiving Poppy, and he even sounds like Ollie, just a bit more disoriented.
So, it seems that the prototype truly was Ollie before he became the prototype, he even refers himself as a prototype.
When talking about Poppy, Oliver seems frustrated and angry, saying that she's all Elliot talks about and saying how 'this has always been about her' and 'never about his Better Place', and it gets upset when Elliot calls him 'My boy'. So it seems he harbors a bit of resentment and even jealousy towards Poppy.
But then Elliot mentions that if he and Poppy ever met, he thinks they would've gotten along and even brings up the possibility that they could be a family and when Ollie asks when he can meet Poppy, Elliot says that he hopes they can meet soon.
And from what we heard from previous tapes between Poppy and 'Ollie' they seemed to be rather close, with Poppy confiding in Ollie, in a way I feel is similar to how Elliot would encourage Ollie to talk to him.
But then there's the fact that the prototype did deceive her, practically gloating about it in Chapter 4 when he revealed he was the Ollie she had been talking to. And Poppy mentions while she did work with the Prototype in the past, she thought they and the other living toys would leave the factory, not go on a murderous rampage around the factory, and then the Prototype would lock Poppy away in her case, claiming he hoped it would make her see things differently, obviously see things his way.
And then there's that line about how the Prototype can 'fix' Poppy and 'make her better'. And before that, he goes on a rant about how he built them a home and kept everyone safe and how for their sake, the orphans can't go free or they'll all be left with nothing. And of course, the line about how everything dies, except them.
So, from what I gathered, it seems that the Prototype wants to be a family with Poppy, that's why he's so obsessed with her. But thanks to all the experimentation and torture, and possibly some lingering resentment towards her, that idea of familial love is warped and twisted, so he wants to be his version of an ideal family, based on what he probably imagined and from what Elliot had told him.
And every time she fights against him, or rejects him, that makes him angrier, and willing to do more in order to basically force her to be the ideal family member he wants her to be.
And I think that's the scariest thing about him. Because for all his ruthlessness, cunning, power, he is essentially a tortured boy who wants a family. It's clear he doesn't care about any of the other toys, only her, and that obsession with Poppy is based on an ideal, not reality, he wants Poppy to see his version of reality and he will stop at nothing until she is who he wants her to be. And he doesn't see it that way, while he is aware of what he is doing, he simply sees it as doing what needs to be done. To him, it's simply trying to make a home for his family, for him and Poppy.
If anyone has their own thoughts and theories they want to share, or just want ask questions or have comments about mine, feel free to do so! I would love to hear them!
I just realized something. What if some of the Mandalorians we see in Maul: Shadow Lord were prisoners of war from the battles the Mauldalorians fought in during the Son of Dathomir comic and Siege of Mandalore itself?
What if during this scene in particular, Maul, Rook Kast, and his Nightbrothers, and perhaps the Mandalorians who were with Rook as they fled the Siege of Mandalore, orchestrate a prison break and enlist hardened, unrepentant murderers and criminals to their side? And among these prisoners, of course, will be Maul's new Twi'lek apprentice. The one heβs had visions of to help him exact revenge on his enemies.
In both pictures, a LOT of Maul's Mandalorians are taken prisoner, but many more were killed due to constant fighting during the Clone Wars.
As far as we know, Crimson Dawn will most likely appear during the series debut. Remember, Crimson Dawn was part of the Shadow Collective, and among the last of the syndicates to not back out of the Collective. Of course, we'll most likely see the Dawn in its infancy as an organization since they started off as a loose band of mercenaries and thugs who pillaged resources from different worlds. So aside from a few hired guns and thugs, we see a few Mandalorians who seem to have stripped any color off of their armor, making them gunmetal grey. This might be a tactic to keep the Empire and local authorities confused, because Maul's Mandalorians stand out and there would no doubt be records of red and black painted Mandalorians served Maul in former Republic, now Imperial databases.
