life is so much better without constantly thinking about who I left behind. I'm choosing me now and listening to my gut, because it is guiding me in this life. I leave whoever does harm to me intentionally or unintentionally. I deserve better.

Personal Dreadwing References, Part I
Decided to make two ref posts for myself of the pics I compiled for…well, myself. If anyone else finds these useful then I’m glad they do.
(Part I: Detonator, hands, sword, proximity bomb. I like Dreads a normal amount)
Part II
i'm sure someone has already talked about how the Owl House often uses a character's hair to reflect where they are in their personal arc (Amity breaking free of her mother's control over her life, Lilith relearning how to be her authentic self after decade's of suppression in the Emperor's Coven, Hunter fighting to assert his identity as a person and not a pale imitation of what Belos wanted him to be) but I just really love it as a means of storytelling through character design so i might actually write an essay about it

here to remind you...
...that starting again is a sign of strength.
a failed attempt is not a failure. every new beginning is an indication that you refuse to give up.
you're willing to start again & again. you're strong, resilient, and brave ✨
it isn't a bad thing to not be able to do something

Quick Reminder
Typing this down for others and myself (mostly as a self-reminder ngl)
I cannot even begin to explain the importance of doing things for yourself first and being self-indulgent. Legit, keep this in mind. I get that we may want to get better at drawing/writing, but sometimes we add so much unnecessary pressure and arbitrary rules that things stop being fun It's not just about perfectionism - it's about people-pleasing and losing yourself in the process. Sometimes it's hard to notice, so consider this post a "Creative wellbeing" checkpoint. Make sure you enjoy what you're doing - and the way you're doing it
Steak alfredo tortellini + sweet red wine in strawberry shaped cups+ triple combo clean jammies/you/bedsheets + LOTR extended cut with your roommate. That is why you don't kill yourself.
