I saw a piece of fanart by @thefoolofnotrades of a beautiful rendition and art piece from the fanfic The Shark In Your Water written by @sunsets12
I’m obsessed and was inspired to do my own piece of fanart!
So here it is!
august — emercy
🍓 pairing: perseus jackson x emma rebekah
🧺 wordcount: 2.3K words
☀️ warnings: couples and girlfriend’s day
“Percy!”
Emma bursts into the Poseidon cabin, stumbling into his doorway and almost tripping over.
Percy glances up from whatever he’s doing on his bunk, his sea-green eyes filling with half-worry, half-amusement. “Yes, m’lady? Where’s the fire?”
Emma stands in the doorway, breathless and distracted. Her features crumble in confusion at his words. “What? Why on earth would I come for you if there was a fire?”
“I have water powers?” Percy suggests, like it’s obvious.
“Oh.” Emma considers that. “Yeah, okay, whatever. That’s not what—there’s no fire, Percy.”
“Okay.” Percy stacks some sheets of paper, his fingers long and slender. He arches an eyebrow. “So? What’s up, Em?”
Emma snaps her gaze away from his hands. “It’s August first.”
“Yeah.”
“Did you know that?”
“Also yeah.”
“Do you know what that means?” Her voice is getting hysterical.
Percy’s expression leans now toward purely amusement. “It’s the first day of August.”
Emma scowls, weirdly tempted to stamp her foot, but resists the urge, simply because it would make her look like a child. “No! It’s the first day of August, Percy!”
He chuckles. “I gathered that.”
Emma groans, palm to her forehead. Her eyes close as she sinks to the ground, laying flat on her back in Percy’s cabin doorway. “It’s national girlfriend’s day,” she complains, breath huffing out of her mouth.
All she can think about right now are the flowers Travis got for Katie, the chocolates Charlie gave to Silena, the oddly sweet, albeit odd, boar’s head painting that Sherman got for Miranda.
“Ah.”
When Nico Di Angelo appears in the 5th season of the PJO series,it should play Waltz of the Bone King y'all fw that?
FUCK YEAH
nah
Not Always the Hero: Rewritten
Headcanons and chapter ideas pt. 1/?
Both Percy and Peter are bisexual! The bisexual community does not deserve the slander or negativity they get! Nor do they deserve the erasure.
Percy and Annabeth had an amicable breakup due to trauma and also the fact that they were too dependent on each other and that’s not healthy
Percy and Annabeth still mean a lot to each other and Percy asks for Annabeth’s blessing/permission before pursuing Peter because he doesn’t want to potentially cause her pain or whatever
Annabeth supports him wholeheartedly because she is a queen and he’ll always be one of her oldest and closest friends!
Sally hyphenated her last name! Sally Jackson-Blofis for the win!
Taskmaster, Attuma, and Cyclopses play important roles as the villains of this fic
Ultimate Spider-Man is a big inspiration for the fic (hence Taskmaster’s bitchass)
In fact there was absolutely going to be a chapter mirroring that one episode of USM from season 1(?) with the gym and Taskmaster and trying to figure out who Spider-Man was for Norman Osborn
But instead Taskmaster suspects Percy is Spider-Man and hilarious shenanigans ensue.
Cyclopses and the Labyrinth were also going to play an important role in Percy finding out Spider-Man’s secret identity.
The one spooky building that Percy found with the labyrinth entrance was going to get destroyed and both Spidey and Percy were going to get caught in its collapse while trying to make sure there was no one stuck. This would be happening during a villain attack on New York. (Actually in retrospect it can be any building collapsing)
Spider-Man shields Percy with his own body as they are surrounded by rubble. They both pass out from the initial fall/hit.
Spidey comes to (too?) first and cradles Percy in his arms as well as he can, he’s rambling from the stress and doing his darnedest to not hyperventilate because Percy’s got a nasty scratch on his forehead and hasn’t woken up yet. He also happens to be very claustrophobic from the events of SM:H when the Vulture drops that building on his. Unresolved trauma and all that.
Percy slowly starts to regain consciousness and recognizes the stressed out voice near him
“Peter?” He croaks out, which causes Spidey to freeze.
It’s too late though, as Percy slowly realizes his surroundings, he realizes he knows that voice.
Peter is just about full blown panicking. He was already freaking out from the claustrophobia, but his weird roommate figuring out he’s Spider-Man is almost too much for him
…
Okay that’s enough for tonight! It’s almost 1am where I’m at and I had a really emotionally taxing evening teehee

I think Percy should've kept the curse of Achilles if only for the after-battle image of everyone sitting around and he's the only one perfectly unscathed. Assigned cover model by the Styx.
Whenever one of the gods (Ares, Hermes, for example) asks Percy if he knows who they are, Percy usually answers by saying they're a certain demigod's parent. I've always liked that. Hermes even points out when they meet that people usually call him by his various titles—the god of this or that—not "Luke's father." That's just how Percy thinks of him.
And now I realize that, without even meaning to, Percy is reminding them of their children, of their responsibility, of the fact that they're parents, not just gods. That's much harder to distance themselves from (and that's exactly what the gods usually do). It reminds me of Percy's wish in The Last Olympian that the gods would acknowledge their children.
P.S. I’m sharing my emotions on my account. If you disagree with this post or have nothing kind to say, please just scroll past and don’t start a discussion. Thank you.
