Who would win in the Sports Festival arena: Nejire or Mirio?
I think Nejire would win. Her kit is kind of perfect for countering Mirio. First off, Nejire is going to be flying. That already presents a huge problem for Mirio. Mirio is totally blind to the outside world as long as he is phasing into something. It's hard to remember and predict wherever someone is going to be if they have that much freedom over movement. Especially since Mirio is going to have to make a big jump to make it to her when she is flying. He'd really need a more congested terrain, such as the Joint Training arena, to reposition himself and attack her effectively. But even if I were to grant him that, Nejire could easily blast it all away. Which is where the real clincher comes in. "Wave Motion" simply covers wide of an area for Mirio to deal with.
Nejire can unleash huge blasts of energy from her body. She does this without a lot of hassle and has deep stamina reserves to pull from. She can control these blasts to move objects or even redirect themselves. That's a lot for someone like Mirio to deal with. For all of his skills, Mirio ability to attack and use his Quirk is limited given its major downsides. Mirio can only fight in melee to how he can use his power. He needs to get in close and that is going to get him blasted by Nejire. I struggle to think of a scenario where he'd be able to get close to her without getting him, given how easily she can maneuver and how much area she can cover. Even if she went with the most straightforward option of just blasting the whole area around her, she'd have pretty good odds of hitting him.Β
And yes, Mirio can phase through Nejire's energy. He could fly right through whatever energy she makes to attack her. Yet he'd still have to become solid again to deal any damage. Until then, he is totally blind. Nejire can easily move or set up another attack for when he goes solid. Even if he went through all that and still hit her, I don't think it would finish the job. Because Nejire is a lot tougher than people give her credit for. The girl took a blast of fire from Dabi to the face and was still in the fight. He can't exactly wait for her to run out either because of those deep reserves of stamina. Between the two, I just think that Nejire would have an easier time of damaging Mirio than Mirio would have damaging her. So this creates a funny "rock, paper, scissors" situation with the Big Three. Nejire beats Mirio, Mirio beats Tamaki, and Tamaki beats Nejire.
How come Mirio didnβt have any problems fighting the near high end nomus, while someone like Mirko had a lot of trouble? Mirio is just punching them and damaging them and Mirko didnβt have a chance even though she has a mutant Quirk and her whole body is enhanced. And how can Mirio fly like that?
I mean, the fact that Miriko's legs are enhanced and she fought actual High End Nomus, not the Near High Ends that Mirio fought, could be a factor.
A lot of the power from Mirio's fighting style comes from his Quirk and his mastery of it. He's either untouchable, moving through the ground so fast he's effectively teleporting, or shooting himself at you at high speeds to attack you. And he's not flying either. His power is a little harder to show in the still frames of manga, but he's launching himself around via his "physics glitch." When we first meet him, Mirio explains it as reforming inside something, then colliding, and then being pushed out at high speeds. He's got a lot of power behind those attacks. Enough to even knock out Izuku with them. Unless you have a specific counter to it or are hilariously stronger than him, it's hard to really fight against it. Even if he's not fighting, he could very well just be playing support. Just like what he did in the fight against Tomura, his total freedom of movement and low risk of damage make him great for distracting enemies and saving teammates.
Assuming One For All enhances the current user's Quirk, how do you think Mirio and Permeation might have evolved if All Might had chosen him to be his successor?
In spite of the boost in power, I doubt much would change about his fighting style. It would just make him more effective at it, turning himself into a meteorite against whatever he was fighting. What would make it more dangerous is him using his intangibility in a straight-up fight. Imagine fighting someone as strong as Izuku, but he can turn intangible whenever he wants. Now that would be a nightmare. Like with Izuku, "Fa Jin" and "Gearshift" would add much outside of a power boost. Though potentially, he could charge up "Fa Jin" while he is intangible, but who knows if that's how the two would interact? "Smokescreen" would either help or hinder him. It would let him slip in and out of wherever he wants without his enemies realizing it, but may just end up keeping Mirio from knowing where he's going. "Float" could be interesting as he could fly and redirect himself whenever he wants, giving him plenty of more opportunities to move around. "Black Whip" could be used in a similar way, but a more fun option would be Mirio using them as his arms when intangible via his selective intangibility. Out of all of them, I think that "Danger Sense" would help him the most. Like I talked about before, it could help him know where he is going and know when to use his power, making "Permeation" much less of a hassle.

Best quirks for football if itβs ok with you?
Best quirks for football?
Ah, the perfect time to cover this one. Shame there isn't any football tie in for the series I can use for the picture. Oh well, this one will have to do.
Sloshed: With how close everyone is to each other, it's going to be a lot easier to apply this to them. And when you do apply it, it's going to be like the afterparty came early. Good luck tackling someone when you can't even run in a straight line.
Larceny: Considering one of the most important parts of the game is making sure you catch and hold onto the ball when eleven muscle men are trying to kill you, effectively velcroing it to your hand would be extremely useful.
Permeation: Now, this one would be hard to use. You've got to phase everything in just the right way to avoid the enemy team, hold the ball, and keep your footing. But if it works, it will work great. And look hilarious in the process.
Lizard Tail Splitter: With how much you are going to get hit or closed in on, it's good to have a way to escape. Plus you could get up to some shenanigans with this kind of power. You're body may be in shambles, but your hand is still touching the ball.
Shock Absorption: Without how many people are going to be running into you, this is a great way to stop all their momentum in it's tracks. If nothing else, use it for your own sake. Because all that padding clearly doesn't protect you as well as it should.
Engine: While this would be great for any kickers in the game, it would be great pretty much where else. What is the core of this game? To run forward and slam into anyone that tries to run into you. Well, this lets you do just that amazingly.
Fat Absorption: Football players already need to eat a lot to support their bodies, so it's already a good fit. But being this giant, inescapable cushion of a man is even better. You'll basically be impossible to tackle as you slowly absorption the whole enemy team.
Vitality Stealing: This particular sport is exhausting for so many reasons. Luckily, with everyone so close to one another and hitting each other, it's a free refill. So while you're in a human car pile up, just sap some energy from the enemy team and you're good.
What do you think happen if Mirio used his quirk on heat detector/vision devise? Would it work and detect him or just "disappear"?
I believe that he would be detected. I have this pet theory where Mirio is visible because of how waves pass through him, basically anything with any real mass to it, while particles do not, with light bouncing off of him which allows him to be seen. Infrared works with particles so I think he'd still be detectable. How much can be seen is up for debate since I'm not sure how much heat he gives off. Maybe it'll be like those thermal imaging videos with ghosts and he can only be seen with the help of stock sound effects and a giant, red circle.
How do you think people with eyesight quirks like Ragdoll train their quirks? Do you think quirks like these can't really be trained and there's a hard cap on it?
I was wondering what you thought of a potential quirk evolution for Brainwashing, namely the ability to delay the activation of the brainwashing, turning someone into a sleeper agent?
When it comes to Quirks, no matter what the Quirk is, there are always ways to evolve and train it. Some of them may be harder or easier to train, and they all have their own skill floor and skill ceiling, but they can all be trained to some degree. While Quirks in the series tend to lean towards more direct evolutions, there are plenty of ways to have a Quirk grow. This can be something as simple as learning to use the Quirk better, like "Permeation", expanding on the options the user already has, like "Dupli Arms", or augmenting their ability with some natural skill, like "Tail". Even if it isn't clear at first, such as with Quirks like "Search" or "Zoom", there's always a way for it to grow. However, you need to make sure when you are writing an evolution for your Quirk, it feels like a natural progression of the power in question. You need to try to keep it within the same framework as the initial Quirk. For example, that suggestion with "Brainwashing" would be absurd for how it's initiality set up. Having people under his control that act like sleeper agents defeats the whole purpose of the zombie-like state he puts people in for and the amount of issues that come from maintaining the control once it's in place. If it isn't readily obvious the target is under control, how is someone supposed to count that?
