I usually do this every November and May, but because I took a full month off right before November, the whole of October, I didn’t want to make it so my usual method of checking to see people interacted with my works over three months when there was nothing to interact with for a whole month before it.
So it’s going to be done a lot differently this time.
My apologies for that, but I’m afraid this is the only fair way for EVERYONE (and that includes myself).
So I will check to see if you have interacted with my STORIES only for November and December (instead of the usual three months). If you have interacted with any of my non-story posts (hiatus, posting schedule, this post), but NOT any of my stories, then you will automatically be removed. I’m doing this because I feel certain people are only interacting with those, so I don’t remove them from my permanent list.
And I don’t think that’s fair to people who want to be on my list but can’t be because I’m at my limit of FORTY.
THIS IS NOT THE TIME TO BE ASKING TO BE ADDED TO EITHER MY PERMANENT LIST OR MY WAIT LIST! WHEN I POST THE UPDATED LIST AND THERE ARE OPENINGS, THEN ASK. OR IF THERE AREN’T ASK TO BE PUT ON THE WAIT LIST!
Usually I spin a wheel, but in this instance, it will be first come first serve and any extras will go on the wait list.
How the wait list works:
I have ten slots that I can put you on if my permanent list is full but you want to be on the list, when a slot opens, I spin a wheel and whoever’s name pops up, gets the spot.
My permanent list is for people who want to see my works EVERY TIME I post a story. If you find the story isn’t for you, you may request to be removed from the story’s personal tag (as in you’ll still be on the permanent list, but won’t be notified for that particular story).
If you aren’t into Steddie anymore, or even moved onto another fandom, or if you just don’t have the time to read anymore, then ask to be removed.
I’ve had people do that in the past and I don’t mind it. I’m always sad when a long time reader asks to be removed, because I’ll miss them. But I will never be angry or block you, if you ask to be removed.
For the next few weeks, I will post brand new posts with adjusted lists every Saturday so you will get notified FOUR times to make sure people aren’t missed. I will also reblog during the week so that you’ll see it on your dash multiple times.
All you have to do is interact with this post if you want to continue to be on my list. Like/Comment/Reblog.
Also if you have reached out to me and said that you were super busy but have a return date that you planned on coming back and reading my stuff, then you are in the clear. I get life can get shitty and busy, so I will take that into consideration.
I've had people in the past who have only commented to remain on the list but don't otherwise engage, if that is you you have four opportunities to remove yourself from my list without further action (once each week in January) and if you still persist in taking a spot from someone who does interact and does want to see my stories and be tagged when I post new stuff, then on Jan 31st, you will be removed and I will block you.
