#perfume analysis

PERFUME

So, to anyone who doesnt know, blade actually has a "real" perfume already produced by Hoyoverse ( see here ). So this should, hypothetically, be an easy question. but i don't want to take the easy way out.

so, i went hunting. i took the notes of his official perfume i liked best and started to look through his motifs. his most obvious is the spider lily, but he also has a jade pendant on his person, so i decided these would be the two themes i ran with.

now, neither jade nor spider lilies are actual searchable notes on the site i use to find perfumes, so i had to find substitutes. after searching for a bit i figured to use blood oranges for a spider lily substitute, and white floral for a jade substitute (as, apparently, thats what people use.. though i've never heard about this til now).

with this in mind i went searching, and i actually found a rather decent selection of perfume! but i actually found a decent selection, so much so i almost actually couldn't decide between two. but thankfully, one did win in the end.

this is Scandal Elixir by Jean Pul Gaultier. it is an earthy, warm scent that starts with both bergamot and blood oranges (two spider lily substitute), then moves onto white florals (jade) and cinnamon, and finishes with warm vanilla.

now because im undiagnosed and have a problem, i also cross checked the sillage and longevity and tried to make some personal assumptions on if i thought it would fit the character or not.

Blade is shown in the lore to be a very cold and reserved character, though in later quests he has been warming up and opening up. however for most of the games time he was very brooding and serious, you know the type. so thats what i mainly focused on.

I figured "someone like him" would prefer a more intimate perfume that didnt linger and didn't last forever (but also didn't fade so quickly). So I made sure the perfume reflected that.

This is my first perfume and i really really had fun, hopefully i get more submissions soon so i can yap about the things i like

Hello and welcome back! Today's perfume is for a bah pack made by @hikarus-heart

Since this is a perfume for a character/person that technically "doesn't exist", we're going off aesthetics for this one! The pack is technically based off the bird Pallas Rosefinch, a beautiful pink bird found in Asian, Russian, and British areas.

We're going to take the pink and run with it as far as we can. Think of the usual "lovecore" perfumes, what notes do they have? strawberry, chocolate, marshmallow, something warm and nutty.. lots of scents and smells you'd find in valentines or aphrodisiac perfumes. ⋆˚꩜｡

So.. we need something sweet and warm, preferably with all of the above. It sounds easy enough, and to be honest, it is! theres tons of perfumes with this combination of notes.

. . But let's all be honest, I do not have the time to look through every single listing of perfume with these notes — theres thousands! However, there is a way to cut down the numbers while still keeping the wanted scent. After all, chocolate and marshmallows are apart of a very popular dessert snack, aren't they? ⋆˚꩜｡

that's right, s'mores! Chocolate, marshmallow, even the crackers can give that nutty flavour if you use the right ones. and wouldn't you know it, " Strawberry S'mores " is a registered note on the website! and it narrowed down my search to only two perfumes, as opposed to the original 1,000+

Egeo Dolce Illusion by O Boticário is a perfume released in 2025. Its main accords are fruit and sweet, with its most prominent note being " Strawberry S'mores " and " vanilla ". Despite its spring-like scent of fruits and such, many argue it's a fall or winter perfume, likely due to the s'more notes. This perfume is also a reimagining of the original Egeo Dolce, created by perfumer Frank Voelkl 18 years ago. ⋆˚꩜｡

The Illusion version maintains the soul of the original oriental gourmand family, but was reinvented with a unisex appeal to be worn by anyone and everyone. It has a balanced presence for everyday use yet keeps to its recognizable signature scent of strawberry.
