entranced by a celeborn who stayed on in middle-earth not just to watch over and support arwen, but because immediately upon getting wise to his granddaughter’s engagement he went “oho. a baby” and started making galadriel scry into minas tirith so he could craft a mental map of all sharp corners that would need to be infant-proofed. eldarion is born and the rest of all dinner-table conversations for eternity is “grandpa you need to stop buying him sixteen [gondorian equivalent of a spongebob ice pop] every day” celeborn, hollow-voiced: “i survived the sack of eregion and the fall of beleriand and you do not wish me to Cherish My Great-Grandchild” while aragorn sits there spoon-feeding eldarion porridge like 😟

I had so much fun with Arwen´s dress and hair! I was a bit torn whether I should give her a hair comb, but I liked this version best without the hair comb just below the crown.
Was having Elwing and Eärendil Feelings after reading this excellent post from @riding-with-the-wild-hunt and it coincided with me wanting to attempt my more realistic style with watercolour brushes instead of oils. Eärendil beard justification: he was a sailor, buddies with Cirdan, and 'his heart was with men' and most importantly, is my monkey in my circus. Also, he's meant to closely resemble my Elrond, just blonde and sunburned.

reading NoME again and there's an interesting part relating arwen and aragorn's relative ages:
also I had a conversation with somebody about peredhel aging (might have been at the aderthad??)
some interesting things here:
the default peredhel settings is the pre-Darkness maturity rate (50:1) plus beleriand aging rate (100:1)
does this mean the pre-Earendil&Elwing peredhel got the 10:1 post-Darkness beleriand elf rate or the 1:1 human rate?
the luthien settings (marrying a human) involve automatically switching to human aging upon marriage, presumably related to the feä/osanwë marriage bond?
Vardamir got the Choice (!!)
did all of elros' kids get the Choice and choose to live as Men, or is Vardamir still somewhere as a gondorian loremaster (or hanging out in elrond's library)?
the long youth multiplier converts the post-Darkness 10:1 maturity rate to the peredhel default 50:1, but converts elros' overall 3:1 aging rate to 6:1?
