Monsters don't die, Percy. They can be killed. But they don't die. ... They don't have souls, like you and me. You can dispel them for a while, maybe even for a whole lifetime if you're lucky. But they are primal forces. Chiron calls them archetypes. Eventually, they re-form.
Annabeth Chase, The Lightning Thief, chapter 6 “I Become Supreme Lord of the Bathroom”
One of the origins for Actors of War
Origin of the Actors of War
At the start of the Second Titan War, Prometheus, the Titan of Forethought, developed the idea for an organization that could help unite the mythical creatures, monsters, demigods, and deities who were accused, exiled, or imprisoned by the Olympian gods. He named it the “Actors of War” as a bitter reference to how everyone was an actor playing a part as a benefactor of someone else’s war. It also alluded to the famous monologue “All the world’s a stage” from William Shakespeare’s As You Like It. However, as soon as Prometheus had allied with Kronos, he abandoned the idea due to time constrictions with the Titan Lord’s plans for the Battle of Manhattan. Enceladus, the fire-breathing giant, eventually stumbled upon and took Prometheus’s idea from his dimwitted and gullible brother, Epimetheus, and used it to form the Giants’ organization where its members would be called “Actors”.
Who are the Actors of War?
The Actors of War is an occult militaristic secret society comprising the Giants’ subversive agents called Actors. Most if not all the demigods involved were abducted as children or young teens, who were then brainwashed and conditioned as members of the society. Actors are tasked out in units to conduct clandestine black operations such as staging violent protests and riots, professional agitation, covert surveillance, entrapment, assassinations, and more to sway public discourse.
What is Actors of War?
Actors of War is a humongous project I’ve been writing since May 2009, over eleven years. A sequel to Rick Riordan’s The Last Olympian, it’s about the titular secret society the Actors of War that’s run by the Giants from Greek mythology. The story is told from the third-person limited perspective of the demigod son of Apollo, Jack Callaway, who starts off waking up from a coma at Camp Half-Blood and without any memories of the past two years. However, this is only scratching the surface of what it’s all about.

Would a Hunter of Artemis be able to be a lesbian and still be a huntress since technically they're not with a man?
