▪️卡納提克音樂 Carnatic music (Karnāṭaka saṃgīta）是南印度的古典音樂傳統，源自娑摩吠陀等古代印度音樂文化。現今尤其以清奈(Chennai / चेन्नई)爲一大中心。它的基本概念有：微分音（śruti）、音高（svara）、拉格（rāga，即調式）和塔拉（tāla，即節拍型）。並以人聲爲主，其他演奏樂器包括旋律伴奏（現今一般用西洋小提琴）、打擊伴奏（一般用木丹加鼓）和持續低音伴奏（坦普拉琴）。

▪️Mridangam木丹加鼓（मृदङ्ग）是卡納提克音樂的主要伴奏打擊樂器，起源於古代印度。 還有同類樂器如：

▪️Tabla 塔布拉鼓 (তবলা), 是膜鳴樂器和敲擊樂器，常用於印度古典音樂以及印度、巴基斯坦、阿富汗、尼泊爾、孟加拉、斯里蘭卡以至印度尼西亞的傳統音樂。 塔布拉為一對鼓，右手打較高音的鼓，稱為達顏（Dayan），或稱為塔布拉。左手打較低音的鼓，稱為巴顏（Bayan）。以手掌或手指擊奏，擊奏鼓心和鼓邊，不同的擊法會有不同音高。

Castanets are a Spanish percussion instrument played in folkloric and classical dances. Castanets are made up of two pairs of circular concave wooden pieces connected with a cord. The cord is then hooked around the players fingers and the castanets are then closed together, producing a sound. The higher pitched castanet out of the two are called hembra, and the lower pitched castanet is called macho.
