A hallmark of Swedish culture are the pepparkakor.
Peppar = pepper
Kakor = cookies
It is misleading, I know, but these cookies don’t REALLY have peppe, don’t worry.
They are ginger (ingefära) cookies with some extra Swedish kick. Perfect for the dark winter months. Great combination with some warm glögg (mulled wine) for some extra mysig feeling.
