It’s that time of the year when I start feeling a sort of “itching” inside, a sort of strange feeling about being caged among buildings and paved roads. Thankfully I live in a very good herping region where one can find unique species like the Parsley frog (Pelodytes punctatus), a very “early riser” among all the Italian Amphibians, being one of the first species that breed at the very beginning of Spring (or even late Autumn/Winter). All it needs it’s a wall of rain and a warmer night.
