After a year of waiting - as the seeds were planted 2025.09.11 - Meatboy 6, called as such because the stem is thicker than all of my fingers except the thumb and it's the sixth one to flower, has opened: he's basically orange
Pros: he's thick, so likely will be strong-flowered. The bloom has many flowerets, further supporting that. Has his mom's leaf pattern. Appears to make a lot of pollen, so presumably very fertile.
Cons: two-shades off his dad's flower color, not very exciting (looks way more magenta in pictures than in real life). Seemingly not naturally branching, like his dad. I'm fearing he might also inherited dad's heat intolerance.
Wooly Throwback 2 is currently flowering, so I'll try to cross them on one of the flower blooms for F2 hybrids, though I probably should cross Wooly into Meatboy rather Meatboy into Wooly for better results, but flowers aren't mature in that way right now.
