Tgcf fans… are we casting Pei Ming as more of a himbo than he actually is? Cause like, I’m looking through the books for Feng Xin info for a WIP, and FX is not cast as a himbo by the fandom nearly enough for the amount of himbo energy he exudes.
Meanwhile, Pei Ming is a) not dumb enough to be a himbo and b) does not drink his respect women juice enough to be a true himbo.
FX has himbo flaws, mind you. His crippling fear of women isn’t the respect women juice it could be, and his all-consuming anger at MQ every time MQ is in the scene (aka, virtually every time FX is in scene), prevents him from being as jubilant as a himbo. But he could get there!
He’s dumb, the buffest of the group, stupidly loyal, and is strongly associated with dogs. One good character arch with MQ + one scary girl best friend, and we could have him giving off “I love my mean wife” energy towards MQ in the most himbo of fashions.
Also, if we’re talking about Himbos, Quan Yizhen is RIGHT THERE. He’s buff, he’s not smart in most things, he’s an energetic puppy, he’d kill the moon for Yin Yu, and I would commit a mild atrocity to see him become bff’s with Ling Wen and Rain Master.
Pei Ming has some stiff himbo competition, and paying child support on time and being friends with Ling Wen cannot save Pei Ming from the fact that he makes some preeeeetty misogynistic remarks throughout the story.
In conclusion, my himbo rankings are:
1. Quan Yizhen
2. Feng Xin
3. Pei Ming
With Feng Xin taking 1st place if he ever gets it together and learns how to cope.
