"Nostalgia Hurts" By Peggy
"Nostalgia hurts" or so they say
But as I look upon each day
I simply wish them all away
The coming home for which we yearn
I think I'd rather watch it burn
This place in which I grew for years
Looking back brings only tears
I think I'd like to start anew
To build a home with sticks and glue
The time of day I'd never give
To stay, alone, that's how I'd live
If I forgot each every date
Those few I love, much more I hate
That's a deal, I'd shake the hand
Of one who offers, I'd be damned
"Nostalgia hurts" or so they say
I'll burn away in phoenix flame
And wake again, a brand new day
