some interesting facts about nomura’s “peer gynt” story
Peer Gynt is a Norwegian poem written by Henrik Ibsen, and later made into a play. It’s actually the most popular play in Norway since the 1800′s. The song in s01ep05 and the one they always whistle is called dovregubbens hall or hall of the mountain king and it was created by Edward Grieg. It’s like the most popular folk tale in Norway. Everyone here knows these things, and i know this because i grew up with this. like.. we litterally danced to this song like crazy in kindergarden all the time and everyone learns about this in school at some point. So when i first heard this in trollhunters, i was shook. Trolls in general are popular old folk tales in Norway, basically a big part of the culture.
Did you know this? cuz if you did, and all of this is obvious, then i’d feel really stupid hah...

Mais tu me reviendras, Ô mon doux fiancé,

XIX в.
