ARLECCHINO & PIERROT (PEDROLINO) - Digital Scrapbook * . f2u for desktop wallpapers & profile wallpapers - No AI & NFT.
We know Arlecchino is devilish by his origins but I need to see more angelic Pierrot!
Arlecchino used to be depicted as a demon back then and Pierrot is just as pure and sweet as an angel— it makes SENSE okay

Pedrolino - a stock character from the Italian Commedia dell'arte. A simple, honest, and unsuccessful servant who is often portrayed as a victim of pranks and an unrequited lover.
Frankenstein - while not explicitly an LGBTQ+ novel, some critics see the work as an exploration of themes of otherness, isolation, and the anxieties surrounding non-normative identities.
Little aldos in my little sketchbook
I swear I'll make better character references for them soon I just don't have other drawings besides these, but I really wanted to share them ;w;
But here's some of the designs I made for other Commedia characters these past time!! (Il Dottore's design just being drafted tonight)
Order: Pedrolino, Arlecchino, Il Dottore Balanzone
Some notes about them as my characters:
1) Pedrolino
Doesn't he look.... Familiar?....
He's a servant who moved from France to Italy. He's a really fast talker and loves to pull pranks and has a really noisy laugh. He's very clever, but somehow also REALLY gullible. He also adjusted his clothes since his outfit is oversized for someone short as himself. Il Dottore Balanzone is his master.
2) Arlecchino
I was aiming for an animalistic, devilish appearance to him to emphasize his devious nature. Also he didn't always have those clothes, he gradually created the look by taking clothes, being gifted by his friends, and stealing one hat by Capitano and customizing it to his liking, even adding the fox hairs from his original hat. He always carries a polenta stick as his slapstick. Anyways, give him food, he's wants to eat! He serves both Il Dottore and Pantalone secretly (Still thinking about this idea)
3) Dottore Balanzone
I know he's supposed to be mostly black but I just thought purple also suited him. The feather isn't a part of his hat but instead his writing quill he always carries around if he needs to write. He also carries a comically large syringe which he uses to help his patients, which they either panic or run away from in lazzi.
