Hi! a Pedro fan here. I don't think it's the worst kiss in the world, though I admit I wasn't as excited seeing it in the trailer as some people were. Anyway, regarding the "pretentious" vibe—well, movies about musicians often come across that way. And critics love that kind of pretentiousness when handing out awards; if that helps Pascal finally be taken seriously as the actor I know he is—rather than just "Internet's Boyfriend" onto whom people project their "daddy" fetishes—then I'm all for it.
Besides, I've seen the man bring depth to characters and make me care about them with only ten minutes of screen time, and he’s managed to be good even in mediocre movies. Here, he has so much to work with; I think he’s perfectly capable of crafting something emotional and compelling out of material that might seem superficial or pretentious on the surface. I hope I'm right when the film comes out.
but me, myself—think the film looks rather poop so I won’t watch it.
But you come back and let me know yeah?❤️🔥👍🏻
