Hi. It’s me, Erin. I get chronic illness and that’s why I co-authored a #childrensbook about it. . I was 26 when I realized my gastrointestinal issues, anxiety, and overall inflammation were due to Celiac Disease. I guess I did ok overall besides the havoc this #autoimmunedisease wreaked on me throughout my childhood and early adult years. . Also, my older brother struggled with his health because of #congential defects. I know what a children’s hospital looks like because of his experiences. I know them intimately. Every day feels like a lifetime. . When my niece got diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder, all kinds of memories came flooding back to me. Memories I wasn’t even mindful of. This pushed me to make this book to help her and kids like her. . I guess what I’m trying to say is that I know what #pediatricillness means. That’s why I took on the #tigerlivyproject. . I just want to help kids and their families have a way to talk about the impossible. Now, more than ever, with Covid-19 and schools starting in 4-6 weeks, life is harder for chronically ill kids and their families. “Tiger Livy” is a way to show kids that this stage of their journey isn’t the end. . It’s just the beginning. . Peace and love, Team Tiger Livy https://www.instagram.com/p/CCue1iBJxJ4/?igshid=b8bl2u7fswgm
