❀Nomi didn’t want to do anything bad, she liked being good and not breaking rules and not breaking into places she wasn’t supposed to. Still, with rain pounding down outside in the middle of the night and nowhere to take shelter she’d had to do something. She’d seen this building earlier while it was open but she hadn’t come in since she had no use for shops since she didn’t have any money. She was lucky enough to find an unlocked window and climbed up using nearby crates, slipping at least once and getting herself covered in mud.❀

❀Nomi hadn’t had the chance to talk to Ja’far very much since he’d returned, mostly because he needed to rest and she didn’t want to crowd him as the others had been fussing over him quite a bit. Rurumu had given her permission to visit today though, so she’d gone and gathered up all the wild flowers she could find outside into a pretty little bouquet and she had a handful of candy too. Once she came in she smiled and gave a little wave.❀

❝Hi, Mr. Ja’far! You doing okay?❞

❀She skipped over to his bedside, putting the bouquet down on the bedside table, and holding up the candies for him to see.❀

❀Nomi hated rain in general, because it made her cold and sick and that's why those scary people were going to try and hurt her before. The planet as a whole seemed not to want her, as it tried to hurt her. Now that she was at the Sindria Trading Company and not outside at the elements' mercy, she felt a little less scared of the rain. The thunder still scared her though, why was it so loud?!❀

❀When it had started she'd gotten scared and curled up where she was, flinching and squealing whenever another crash sounded. When he scooped her up, she hugged him tightly and buried her face against his shoulder. When he spoke she peeked up at him, tears threatening to spill over.❀

χ The two year old is excited when he hears his older brother has a gift for him, he bounces up and down and tries to peek behind Ja'far's back to see what it is.

《Ooh! Gimme, gimme!》

χ He pauses then when he remembers the last time someone offered him something which ended in a screaming infant in his arms and another held just in front of him. He glances suspiciously up at his brother, unable to realize Ja'far is much to small to hold his baby sisters behind his back.

☾Normally, Kil didn’t cling to others. She was normally aloof when it came to physical contact, she wasn’t used to it and she didn’t want to be a nuisance. Right now though, she clung weekly to his shirt with one trembling hand, the other pressed hard against the side of her face obscured by her hair. Her wings curled and twitched as she fought not to throw up.☽

☾If Maader’s calls, signaled by a pain where her eye once was, had been a whisper before, menacingly quiet, now they were a scream inside her. She could hardly move, hardly breathe. She could practically hear the woman’s voice, calling for her, demanding her presence. Tears streamed down her face but she was too numb to notice them, sweat pooling on her palms and the back of her neck. She barely heard his offer to stay with her, if he had offered anything else she wasn’t able to comprehend it at the moment. She managed a painful nod then, speaking up in a hoarse voice.☽
