He fixed a few waves of hair that had fallen upon his forehead by combing them back. Pleasant weather and a grand showcase of that Carolina sunshine that had fallen upon the coastal town called for a day out. So it be the park when a friend of his do happened to want to learn a new way of commuting. He’d brought a Meketec board for her, his own, naturally, one he hadn’t meddled with since the summer before, now that he was thinking about it. The closer he came to actually having to ride the thing the more he found the prospect of falling and/or messing up a genuine concern, never mind how much he tried to keep the word ‘embarrassed’ out of his vocabulary. He would never claim it to be one of his great hobbies, let alone something he excelled at, but he could whip around on a skateboard well enough. And that was seemingly enough for Payton. He looked up at her then, through squinted eyes, hand dropping from his hair before he glanced down, “So, you just kinda...” He stepped up on the board then, easing into it, and soon his worry was gone, muscle memory in action, “—Maintain that center of balance,” Link continued, rolling past her, kicking off, and then pivoting, leaning back to wrap around back to her, “bend your knees,” He spoke a little louder, doing just that, as if to accentuate his tip as he came back to her, “and try not think about it too much.”
He hopped off, a smile on his expression as he applied pressure to the tail with his foot, leaned down to turn the board around, and then moved to the other side again. Back where they started. With lips slightly agape, a playful look found him, his gaze briefly looking over her own features, “... So, how ‘bout it, space girl? You wanna give it a go?”
