In 2019, Rusty Lake had an art and poetry contest to win the graphic novel they recently released then. I submitted this and was one of the three winners! It still holds well and I'm still a fan of it, so to this blog it goes.

Happy Hourly Comic Day! Apparently it got moved to the 8th, and I only found out about it after I drew my first panel (I was actually trying to draw panels semi hourly). So here's how my Feb 1 went, presented to you today!
I think my panelling improved since the last Hourly I did. It must be from forty or so comic pages I've drawn for Sparrow Flight. Also I'm very glad that one of my favourite dishes ever made it to this year's cut 😋🍜
Drawn in a blank A5 Midori notebook with Tombows and some whiteout.
For computer graphics class, we're given a model of the King of Red Lions and are told to render water waves in OpenGL. My program doesn't render waves, but we need to submit a screenshot of our waves for the assignment. So I submit this instead.
(Context: we were supposed to use tessellations to render the waves, and to draw tessellations, you use patches.)
Little comic about the big things I've been up to and will hopefully be up to. Wish me luck because now that it's been 2 days since making this, things could be going better!
PS: Job 2 is @sparrow-flight which has all of Chapter 1 posted. You can follow its newsletter on the main site for updates. Job 3 is my art shop which you can visit here! It currently has a lot of Birdtober stickers and some original art. I'm working on a TTRPG collection that should be up by August.
Got this idea when I was woken up by a squirrel. I fell back asleep. Two days later during a 4h group meeting, I got this out lmao

Artist in STEM 😔 but for as much as I have been not drawing and have been neglecting @sparrow-flight, I did make a video game and I will continue working on it until this semester ends, I guess! (psst for video game updates: @studiosleepytime you heard it here first) (we're also on bsky!)
Top panel's drawn with a Lamy, bottom panel's drawn with a Pilot Kakuno! I just found out universal cartridges fit the Lamy if I brute force it hard enough, so I'm definitely going to be using it more
Google AI is sometimes stupid (Ft. Hrothgar, my Delta Green PC + his daughter Hygd + @theroyalzealot's NPC Ulysses Fisher)
Here are some bonuses!
Just a couple of freehand doodles, since I wanna get better at that! Don't ask why the birdfam look so miserable in the last one (the answer will come one day)
