YUP… POKOMAN
mihawk & pokemon (selected based on aesthetic, skill, and/or personality/backstory)
Pawniard, Bisharp, and Kingambit in Pokécology (English version)
First is 2 Pawniard and a Bisharp battling a Fraxure over sharpening stones next to a river. While not stated here, I’m guessing that these disputes usually end with Fraxure being eaten by Pawniard and Bisharp since it is outnumbered.
Next is 2 different armies of Pawniard and Bisharp each led by a Kingambit clashing. Since it’s not explained either, I’m curious about how each side tells friend from foe when all individuals of the same stage look seemingly identical. Perhaps they distinguish by pheromones?

POKEMON ART DUMP I FORGOT I DIDNT POST ANY OF THESE!
so I have a pawniard, have had the little lady for years. they take forever to evolve so I’ve been trying to train her up slowly and carefully, mostly by letting her fight rock type pokemon to keep her blades sharp. We have a lot of boldore and roggenrola around here, so I figured it wouldn’t be an issue. but recently she came back and the axe blade on her head had been BROKEN. The top part is missing. The rest is still intact but I think she maybe tried to headbutt a pokemon using iron defense. she seem ok, she hasn’t fainted or anything and I’ve been giving her Oran berries to keep her healthy, but she’s super distressed by this and doesn’t want to go out and train anymore. I don’t know if their blades regrow naturally, I’ve never seen this happen before with a pawniard, do I need to take her in to get looked at?
unfortunately a broken blade for a pawniard is about the worst thing that can happen to them from a battling perspective. in the wild, it's effectively a death sentence; a bisharp won't take a pawniard with a broken blade into its troop, and bisharp that break their blades can't maintain a troop. you need to get her to a specialist veterinarian immediately. they might be able to work with a blacksmith to file the blade down to usability, but depending on the break, you may have to retire her from battling entirely. even if she still can battle, you're going to need to go back to the basics of building confidence and focusing on form as she learns how to use the shortened blade.
this is why it's your responsibility to supervise your pokemon's training. by turning her out to train on her own, you endangered the local ecosystem by letting a battle-trained pokemon do as she pleases. you also endangered her by leaving her safety up to her ability to handle whatever wild pokemon she came across. pawniard naturally fight as a group and can easily get overwhelmed if they don't have a troop leader to look to. she may well have broken her blade because she panicked. the fact that you weren't there to see what happened also means that there's a gap in your understanding of how bad her injuries might actually be.
take your pokemon to a vet, and don't let her out to battle on her own again. in the meantime, i'd also recommend you brush up on the care needs for pawniard so you can better understand what to do in the case of injury. steel type pokemon often required specialized veterinary care after sustaining injuries, and it's your duty to know when she needs veterinary intervention.
