"Kiss Alive" This was the first Kiss live album and one of best live album from 70's.
Back in 1975, the rock and roll press declared that glitter/glam was dead. It had run its course and it was now over. The rock journalists got it wrong, glam/glitter was at its peak, the problem was that nobody was doing it anymore -- Bowie went into his black and white phase, Loud Reed went back into his...whatever the hell that crap was phase. Alice was very drunk. The New York Dolls imploded and then exploded. And so on and so forth.
The brilliance of KISS is that they used their astute knowledge of public opinion to design a show that not only demonstrated that glitter/glam was not deceased but rather was at its climax. They were the only ones who were still doing it. KISS filled a void in a larger-than-life sort of a way.
