This is sort of a rant with some ideas and is not the best structured but i tried

(HAVE also seen alot of people speculate that the the scenes with the twins in the desert were actually pauls visions and that the twins are also part of his visions - im going to kms if this happens I NEED THEM WITH THE TWINS

I also dont think they are gonna include the first born and we are definitely getting the twins and probably more than a vision)

I think we all probably believe that chani got pregnant with THE TWINS probably by the second half of Part 2. I believe that both paul and chani were aware of the pregnancy. The first picture of paul and chani- they both look young, shes wearing her blue scarf and look like they're in love. So this picture of him holding the swell of her belly is probably a flashback that likely happened during part two.

Denis villeneuve is a master at giving the audience subtle hints and its almost like you blink and miss it. In the scene where paul,chani,stilgar and gurney go to the place where they hid the atriedes atomics , particularly when paul needed to scan his fingers to access the atomics the camera cuts to chani looking really really uncomfortable and terrified. Its like at that moment she realises the true power of what shes carrying.

And when paul takes the water of life , its said that he's sees the bloodline of his ancestors and who he really is . But what if he saw more , what if he saw the future for his family and saw that if he didn't do what he did he would lose chani and their children.

But chani obviously doesnt see this and now paul has betrayed her and has turned into something that he promised he would never be.

So she runs off either into the deep south and probably finds another group of fremen to live with or most likely goes back to sietch tabr because there are still people there . And maybe the last thing chani wants to do is hide herself from Paul

Paul probably wouldn't look for chani instantly after she leaves so I think that by the time paul finds her shes already given birth to the twins. (SN: I dont think either of them knew it would be twins nor I think he saw it in his visions but there might be a chance he saw it after taking the Water of life)

In the scene where chani is angry at paul (rightfully so) she doesn't really look pregnant and also looks like some time has passed . In the official trailer for part three , chani breaks down and paul hugs her. Although I don't know exactly how but I think they will get back together (reluctantly) and this could go multipe ways.paul might take her and the twins to live with him (the scene with the bjorns) and we might get some paul chani and irulan interactions or he will visit them in secret in sietch tabr or maybe in a sietch far away to ensure their safety -this case in which irulan would notknow about the twins. Thats when he goes to caladan to see jessica and that whole scene of him "protecting his family" comes from.

Now does chani love what's happening-not at all .theres probably tons of resentment and anger that she still has towards him but its really hard to believe that she will have the same level of anger for two decades

This would only last for a couple years before chani leaves with the twins forever as she realises the true effects of what paul is doing and to mainly protect the twins and raise them as fremen (that scene of her letting go of the blue scarf , i mean why else would she keep it if shes still not in some capacity with paul)

Paul probably shaves his head after this happens because he does look younger and less war torn when we first see his shaved head.

In this picture younger chani- could either be after the ending of dune 2 and she reached a new sietch and she breaks down or her taking the twins away after realising what paul is actually doing.

Now the scene where paul picks up the blue scarf - its happening after the time jump- he's bald,has scars and tattoos. I think paul believes chani is dead by that point. That scene where a sandworm comes towards chani and stops right before killing her is what leads paul to believe shes dead. Also have seen alot of people say that sandworm stops because shes pregnant with leto but she looks older in that shot and has scars so its likely happening after and by that time the twins are most probably teenagers so idk why the sandworm stopped

He picks up the scarf ties it around his wrist to show that he remains faithful to his true love (oh my heart)

Now with the twins- they could either be kidnapped or paul is actively trying to find them following what he believes to be chanis death. Twins are probably going to be a major part of their story and probably act as their glue so its safe to predict they might have a bigger part in this film more than as flashbacks or visions but actual involvement with the story. (There is some speculation that this film would have elements of COD if the twins have larger involvement in the plot)

I know alot of people are pissed that they're not from what we have seen not following the same storyline from the book for chani and the twins but this is an ADAPTATION and let's remind ourselves that things can change and let's be open to new plot points

If they made chani exactly how shes in the book yes they're remaining faithful to the book but it would be so boring. Making her have agency makes her far more interesting and im most stoked to see her arc in this film

Also so excited to see chani as a mother cause i know she will be protecting her children BOOTS DOWN ON THE FLOOR

Also scytale is 100% showing up as chani and paul probably knows its not the real chani

Now for chani's actual death - im pretty sure she is going to die by the end of Part three , most probably by scytale early in the time jump. I could also be very wrong about this because in the scene where chani is on the sandworm (one of last shots in the trailer) it really does look like the real chani and not scychani so who knows maybe she will die in that battle.maybe duncan might kill her??? And I really really really hope that the last shot of this incredible film would be paul walking into the desert.

Aftef watching the trailer for dune part three (i mean what the fuck cinema is so back) its safe to say it has completely occupied my brain. And I am both incredibly excited and terrified to see where this goes and especially with paul and chani which we already know is going to be heartbreaking but I had to get this off my mind.

(also what I love so much is like. the casual teasing way she is with him most of the time and also how their whole relationship is based on like??? warfare???? and they're such a Battle Couple but like. based on the way she is finding him I Know if something were to happen to him in . say a fanfic. she'd still be practical about it but also Very Worried and Very Gentle and it makes me want to Scream)

Oughghh chewing on things yesssssss. Her reaction hurts me like she’s so so worried about him and protective and the way she gets so angry and blames Jessica oughhhhh yes Hate on That Woman (side note. Jessica is very Interesting and Nuanced but also. I am a Hater sorry.) Like she knows, just like the rest of the Fremen, that men can’t take the water of life of they will die so I’m sure the Whole Situation was very uncertain and scary for her

and and oughhhhhh the IMMEDIATE change in Paul once he wakes up. Oughhhh good good shit. His HAIR. Obviously. He also moves a lot more stiffly and, despite comforting her, (I think? Can’t remember his exactly dialogue when he wakes up but I think he tells her he’s okay) he speaks more shortly to Chani and is just overall Off-putting. Something something Came Back Wrong. So obviously that freaks Chani out Even More. Like you just saw your boyfriend come back from the dead (terrifying already) and now he’s Weird. Irrevocably Changed. And you Contributed to that.

except what theme do i do? 🤔 i was thinking a general existential crisis type of vibe, but should it be more character-focused? like for paul, jessica, feyd, chani, etc., specifically? OR do a ship playlist like for feydpaul or paulchani? (maybe i'll make more than one???)

with how often paul gets high I expect this to happen at least three times a week
