As the resident Beatles historian: Do you know when John's marriage to Cynthia became public? I know they took great pains to hide it at first and at some point either before or at the "Sorry girls, he's married" moment people found out, but I haven't come across some big exposé or something. I figured it would be big news but it seems like people just found out without fuss? I know there was that photo of Cynthia pushing Julian in a pram--did people find out about Julian at the same time?
Also, do you know if Cynthia, Pattie, and Maureen also got hate from the fangirls? Or was it all directed at Linda because of Paul's last bachelor status? (Though I think a lot of it was because she wasn't upper class and English like Jane--I can't remember if Jane got hate for the engagement as well)

This is definitely a thing I remember looking into, though, and I think it's hard to trace exactly because it probably was just a rumour that blew up and at some point John stopped denying it – I don't think there was an official statement at the time.
A hard limit is the "Sorry, Girls, he's married" message during the Ed Sullivan Show (February 1964). I was under the impression that was to get ahead of the John Married story breaking independently in the US after it was already public knowledge in th UK.
Cynthia and Pattie definitely both spoke about getting that type of jealous hatemail. I don't know if Maureen did since she never put out a book and led a quiet life, but I'd be surprised if she got no hate.
The hate directed at Linda and especially Yoko was on a whole different level though.
