I think we're beginning to see a pattern here π (pun intended)! Hi ππΌ I'm Darya, a surface pattern and textile designer and artist. I enjoy creating designs for home interiors and stationery (but really, I'm not limited by the area, it's more about the inspiration, technique and process for me). I've been searching for my art style for quite some time now as I use about 3 different, even conflicting ones (1οΈβ£ soft and sophisticated watercolor, 2οΈβ£ flat kids' designs and 3οΈβ£ sketchy brush work. With 4οΈβ£ - sprinkles of line drawing π€ͺ). I have been trying to bring them all to a common denominator and here's the result πββοΈ I get bored when staying too long in one niche, even a favorite one. I've been struggling with this feeling as it's very common for me to switch but it seems to be frowned upon and misunderstood. I'm currently reading a book by Barbara Sher about "scanners" - people who just have a different way of thinking and thrive on multitude. We'll see if it gives me some answers! π This year has been a pivotal point in my career as I left my corporate design job and sailed off on an independent journey as an artist, designer and creative entrepreneur. π©π»βπΌβ΅οΈ I have been very happy creatively for these 5 months so far, but there is so much more to a creative business than creativity itself. π So much to learn, so much to discover, and the most needed quality at this point is... perseverance ππͺπΌβπ¨ . . . . #artvsartist #artvsartist2021 #patterntalent #daryakarenski #watercolorartist #textiledesigner #surfacepatterndesigner #surfacedesigner #watercolor #meettheartist #fabricdesigner #patterntalent_art #patterntalentart #artwork #art (at Boston, Massachusetts) https://www.instagram.com/p/CXmwsjEgq0U/?utm_medium=tumblr
