Our Patsy's Pizzeria experience

Two days ago, we treated our dad to Patsy's Pizzeria (yes, the one featured in A Quiet Place: Day One) for Father's Day (Happy belated Father's Day to all the daddies out there!). It has five branches around New York City. This particular one is the Upper East Side location. It's our first time dining in—previously, we've only ordered takeaway from here once.

The restaurant occupies two floors and its ambiance is impressive. They also play wonderful music—at one point, they even played "Yesterday" by The Beatles (one of my favorite songs)! It wasn't that busy when we arrived, but since we were a big group (our relatives from another state came with us), we were seated on the second floor, right next to a wall full of images of famous people (like Marilyn Monroe, Frank Sinatra, and Elvis Presley).

And now, for the food. Being a pasta lover, I decided to try one of their pastas (prior to this, I've only tried their pizza). I went for the Pennette & Shrimp. The shrimps were perfectly cooked. On the other hand, the pasta is kinda mushy and the sauce is very mild. Though, it didn't disappoint, and it still tastes beautiful. As for our pizzas, we ordered their Old Fashioned Margherita Pizza with pepperoni and prosciutto, as well as a Square Cheese Pizza with pepperoni. Their pizzas are incredible and well crafted—they are very tasty and keep you coming back for more. Since I already had the pasta, I only had a serving when we got home (then again, I've already tried it once before anyway).

As for the service, the pasta came to our table quickly, while the pizzas took a while to arrive. The servers were very friendly, though, and they even boxed up the leftover pizza for us.

Patsy’s Pizzeria showed up as another must go to place for all pizza lovers. I went in for some pizza on Friday for the first time and was fairly impressed. They bake the pizza using a coal oven so the pizza is made quickly, right off the bat this place is better than Lombardi’s because they sell individual slices. Stereotypical coal cooked pizza tends to have the cheese spread unevenly and in clumps around the pizza. Patsy’s pizza evenly spreads the cheese unlike the other places. Apart from that the pizza is very thin with a thin crust and has a wide array of toppings. The only complaints I have is that their pie is fairly small and definitely not big enough to share with more than 2 people, my other complaint is that they don’t have chicken as a topping and my final and biggest complaint is that they don’t deliver the pizza.  By the way I forgot to take a picture of the pizza before I ate it but here is a picture that was uploaded by NYC official guide website here:
