Bridgerton is basically a show about a bunch of women whose only goal in life is to get married and have kids with men whoβve had plenty of time to live their lives and fuck around with whores before settling down with the βperfectβ high-status virgin. I just donβt get all the hype around that show, it glorifies and romanticizes the most patriarchal ideals imaginable. Honestly, the BrontΓ« sistersβ and Jane Austenβs books, written two hundred fucking years ago, showed way more respect for women than that damn series. Seriously, itβs terrible.
fascist regimes combine an authoritarian worldview with a hierarchical social system, an appeal to puritanical "personal morals" and strict sex-role ditterentiation. War, ecological disaster, the subordination of women, slavery, racism, and colonialism can all be seen as extensions of the deep-seated psychic dualism which arose with patriarchal culture.
You're not here to ENDURE your life. There is no badge of honor for being a long-suffering woman. You may have been raised by women with fewer choices, who believed self-sacrifice is the rent women must pay to have relationships. No more. You get to create a nourishing life that's on your terms. But to do that you have to stop putting up with soul-sucking bs and take empowering action in service to your true needs. Sovereignty won't be given to you in this patriarchal culture. It's something you must claim for yourself.
