I haven’t seen a lot of people talk about it, but please know that the necklace Emma Chamberlain wore to the met gala is called the patiala and was owned by an indian maharaja, the maharaja of patiala. It was stolen after the partition of india and was not seen again until 30 years later when the diamonds were sold at an auction in England and the rest of the necklace was found at an antique shop in London. Cartier bought the necklace and replaced the diamonds.
It was never returned to india and now it’s being worn on a white womans neck. That necklace belongs to south asia and has historical significance. It should be in an indian museum, not worn for a look by a white youtuber.
