Projecting her own concerns onto Cecil, but also she wants him to be a hero so that he can keep living too. She's trying to put herself in a safe space in case her book ends, but she wants the same for her friends

Even though she killed off Dark Gwen. There's very much still a semblance of Dark Gwen within her. She may be against hurting the heroes, that she cares about. But she's still doing whatever it takes here for the purposes of self preservation. There's certainly some Dark Gwen undertones to that. She still has more to learn
