Making your own pasta dough is simple and rewarding. This basic recipe yields a versatile dough that can be shaped into various pasta types like spaghetti, fettuccine, or ravioli.
Ingredients: 2 cups all-purpose flour. 3 large eggs. 1/2 teaspoon salt. 1 tablespoon olive oil.
Instructions: Put the flour on a clean surface and make a well in the middle of it. Put the eggs in the well and season them with salt and olive oil. Using a fork, slowly mix the flour into the eggs until a dough forms. For eight to ten minutes, knead the dough until it is smooth and springy. Take the dough out of the fridge and cover it with plastic wrap. Let it sit for 30 minutes. After letting the dough rest, cut it into pieces that you can handle and roll each piece out into the shape you want for the pasta. Boil salted water and add the pasta. Cook for 2 to 4 minutes, or until the pasta is al dente. Put the pasta in a bowl and add your favorite sauce.
