hi i don't make a lot of textposts but i would like to share some of my random thoughts and headcanons for sky spirits
cackling cannoneer has HPD and they were willing to put themself in harm's way in that one abyss quest because the attention suddenly being taken off of them made them feel like they would lose everything
i like to imagine the duets spirits were getting up there in age when they were alive and were famous partially because they were around for so long. and due to their limited mobility they'd help each other with things like the ribbon on compassionate cellist's dress and maybe putting up each other's hair. i like the idea of them being dependent on each other for little things because their whole thing is duets. they are inseparable
migration guide is a lighthorn therian/otherkin. i think i've posted about this before but i'm putting it here too. when they found a pair of shed lighthorn antlers, they IMMEDIATELY decided to wear them on their head and the other lighthorns accepted them as one of them. they sleep curled up with all of the other lighthorns and they play with the other lighthorns. i think the lighthorns might even see them as like a leader of their group. i yearn for that level of species euphoria
all of the passage spirits are autistic. yes including the guide. they literally have a special interest in mask making. they're able to handle the adolescents because they remembered how they struggled in ways other kids didn't when they were younger. i feel like all of the adolescents show it in different ways. 1. i relate to oddball outcast because i'm often left out of group activities for having other interests that few people share, which is a very autistic experience. 2. tumbling troublemaker rolls around as a stim. they definitely cause trouble if they have a grudge against someone because it's in their name but i feel like they could also just space out and cause damage if they do something important without thinking. 3. overactive overachiever struggles to read the room and sometimes doesn't notice if they make others uncomfortable by showing off 4. i think melancholy mope has depression but i think they could also be irritable often because they're implied in their official personality traits to be a picky eater which could mean they have sensory issues which could extend beyond the feeling of food in their mouth. they might get exhausted easily when forced into social situations like with the passages or even just being around the other adolescents if they're too chatty. sorry this bullet point is long holy hell
