,,This is the advantage of the services; we do not study or learn as if we were researching, but we learn by engaging with those to whom we speak. So it is with the Mother of God, so it is with the saints of God—we speak with them, we speak with the Lord Christ, we tell the Lord Christ what we have to say, we talk with Him, and from this we learn. Consequently, the Mother of God has a glory of her own, and this glory comes to her from the Lord Christ; and because her glory comes from the Lord Christ, she is a mediator to the Lord Christ for us.
We praise her, the Mother of God intercedes, and the Lord Christ grants us peace: "He who grants peace to all those who praise thee."
-Archimandrite Teofil Părăian, The Mother of God – The Secret Paradise of Orthodoxy
Hey, bud!! Do you like to write? Do you like comic books and crowd-sourced randomness? Then Hashtag No Comtext might be for you!
The official rules:
1. I will release a fully hand drawn comic page one by one. They will be 100% free hand IN INK, so mistakes are forever~! For each page, I need no fewer than 4 participants to create text for the page… so, y’know. Tell your friends?
2. Please submit your page with appropriate text either through the tumblr app, or join the Discord. Make sure your submission has your username, or whatever name you would like to be credited with. Entries with no name will be disqualified.
3. I’d like to do this weekly, but since things probably won’t kick off for a while, I’m going to try every two weeks to allow enough time for adequate participation. So for now, the cut off date for submissions shall be 14 days from the date I’ve posted the page.
4. After said cutoff date, one submission shall be chosen to forever represent the text of the page. The user will be shouted out & congratulated, and the next page will go up for submissions, and then on and on…
5. The text will be handwritten into the comic forever, just as written by the winner, and the winner’s name will go onto that page as “written by.” Winners’ names shall also appear in the final credits of the book as writers. If anyone decides to so generously support this work through donations, their names will appear in the credits as “supporting producers.”
6. Don’t give up if you weren’t selected! This comic will be ongoing for quite some time, so you’ll always have a chance.
More details will come later, if enough interest is shown, otherwise I’ll just fade back into the realm of shadows with all the other forgetting projects. 😂
If you’re interested, give me a follow, and I’ll follow back. This way I can gauge how much interest there is, and you can be up to date as more information becomes available. ^_^
Thank you!
PS! I’m going to print all the submissions, even if they’re not chosen, and occasionally, I’ll draw random entries on a live and read a different telling of the story. Stay tuned!
Hiiiii
Do we need to fill a prompt for every day to participate ?
Not at all! There's no pressure to complete something every day – though you are welcome to try! The event is a relaxed and fun space for you to create as much or as little as you'd like, whether that's multiple pieces for every day, just something for the prompt that you like best, or anything in between. You can even participate without submitting anything at all, by following along, reading/reblogging the submissions and giving feedback to creators in the form of likes, kudos and comments.
The only rules are the Event Guidelines. As long as you follow those, you can do whatever you like. :)

Prince Desmond Q&A!!
Just for Fun!!!
Since the Fandom has given me the nickname ‘Desmondopedia’ due to being his biggest fan and I know so much about him (even discovering his kingdom name); thought I’d host a Q&A where everyone can ask me fun questions about Prince Desmond! Test my knowledge, ask my opinions on him, ask something you’ve always wondered, etc. Just please be respectful and don’t say anything mean…
2025 Favorites
Look back at what you have done in 2025 and answer the questions. Answers are as short or long as you want them to be. Artists sub in draw for write.
I was mentioned by @yachaer to participate and I shall pass the torch to @draka1na and @butterflysist3r
Otherwise, here we go!
1. Favorite character to draw or write?
Obviously Gustave ngl. As a character, I kind of attached to him really quickly and heavily because of his relationship with Maelle, and I related to it with how I am with my own dad.
2. Least favorite character to draw or write.
Hm. I don't wanna say I have a least favorite, but I think P!Renoir is harder for me, solely because of his darker nature towards how he does things or reacts to certain situations. I enjoy him because of the blatant toxicity his character embodies, but writing him beyond short snippets between friends, he's definitely the hardest for me, personally.
3. Favourite pairing?
Verstave, currently. A close second is actually Gustave x Renoir, shocking, I know. Verstave is for my overall reading where Gus and Ren are for when I dip my toes into darker, more intense themes.
4. Least favorite pairing?
Verso/Julie. Enough said. Them, or any of the gestrals paired with humans. Specifically Monoco/Verso. Not my thing.
5. Favorite POV and tense
I tend to write in third person POV because most of what I write is fanfiction based and I like a ix of present and past tense. My absolute favorite thing that authors do is when they can mix past with present like a sort of flashback, iykyk.
6. Something new you did this year?
I committed to finishing more writing and outlining my work. I have my oneshot that I did finish, and am following an outline for my longer fic. :)
7. Something other people told you you’re good at
Ah. Currently, I don't really remember... Aha. 😅Definitely gonna get slack for this with my friends later... But I guess. Talking to people?
8. Something you think you’re good at
Talking to people.
9. Something you want to improve on?
Being more consistent or making myself find the time to dedicate myself to my hobbies. Ever since my parents separation, I've struggle with committing to things I enjoyed, so I really want to at least find a healthier relationship so I can keep enjoying the things I enjoy like writing.
10. Favourite thing you read this year?
Run With Me by @porgthespacepenguin & Dolce Tana by Diari
11. Favourite event you did this year?
Unfortunately I don't do events as I get anxiety with a due date, however, I loved a private Secret Santa a server I was in did, and lurked at all the wonderful arts and writing that happened!
12. Favourite song to listen to while you draw/write
Don't laugh... But Gustave Playlist on YouTube by TetraTheMage.
13. Favourite type of fic to write or art to draw (crack, fluff, angst, smut etc)
Crack. I love a good crack-fic or angst with a HEA. I do want to try and write smut for Touch Me, Please though. :)
