Chapter #07- A Hetic, Busy Day
"Oh my Rao,” Jon said, rolling his eyes, “you’re being so ridiculous. I hate you.”
Damian tutted. He stopped reading to momentarily set his green eyes on Jonathan and the smug smirk on the half-alien boy, and then back to the book, unimpressed by his friend's juvenile attitude, Jon was being annoying, nothing new. He turned the page.
“The feeling’s mutual,” he muttered under his breath. Not bothering to look at him in the eye.
Just before Jonathan could continue their friendly spat, someone knocked the door three times in a row.
“D,” said Richard, “may I come in?”
When he didn’t answer, Jonathan seized the opportunity and chirped a loud “sure.”
Richard pushed the door, his tense smile softened when seeing it was just the two of them inside.
He walked to Damian, and leaned on the back of the sofa he sat on.
“Ugh,” Damian complained, and gave up on the book. He set it on the night-stand to his left,“I thought you left already.”
