A/n:my first post back is a pretty short one with a character that i should have added way earlier along with the rest of the mermaid's curse girls.
You were just sitting on your bed reading a book when you suddenly heard a sound of something softly tapping against your window, you looked up to see....a butterfly made of paper?
"What?....oh wait It's circe's shikigami"
You opened the window and grabbed the butterfly origami before unfolding it and finding out it was a letter like you assumed
i hope this letter finds you well, I was training how far my shikigami could travel and decided to send it to you as a test. Please text me to let me know if it has reached you.
P.s. would you like to go on a date tomorrow? I was thinking we could grab tea and pastries after school
You giggled and turned on your phone to text circe
"The butterfly has arrived, and i would love to spend tea time with you tomorrowπ"
To your surprise she didn't text back, even if you saw she had visualized the message but you just assumed she was too busy training or reading to answer as she sometimes tended to do so you didn't think much about it, until a second paper butterfly made its way into your room
You opened it up again and found another letter by circe
"That's wonderful darling, I cannot wait for tomorrow, I could also show you some of the results of my training, mother said my abilities have improved and I am quite proud of that
You were surprised as to why she needed to send another shikigami to tell you what she could have easily texted but you still answered her
"Of course you know how much I love seeing my beautiful exorcist in action, as long as we're not in danger of course"
Another butterfly appeared not long after
"Of course, i would never put you in danger, we won't do anything involving actual spirits, perhaps I could show you some dowsing with the pendulum you gifted me last time, by the way thank you again for that, I haven't taken it off from the moment you gave it to me, and it works wonderfully for spiritual matters too
"I'm glad you like it but why are you sending me shikigamis when you could just text me?"
"What are you talking about?
"I feel like you just want to show off your powers"
"Seriously this is like the fifth butterfly, how much paper are you wasting doing this?"
"Actually my family keeps a large stack of paper sheets for me and my sisters to train our powers with
"Also why are you writing your signature every time? Just because your name is insanely cool and your handwriting is very pretty doesn't mean you have to do it every time"
".....you're right i'm sorry y/n, i'll stop with the shikigamis now"
You saw she finally started texting again
"I just wanted you to see my powers, not many other people I am friends with know about the occultso you're one of the only people I can show them too"
"I understand, and I love seeing your powers too but maybe just choose...another way to do it, preferably one that doesn't include my room now being filled with pieces of paper"
"It's fine, that dowsing tomorrow does sound good though, that along with the tea date"
"I'm glad i feel like tomorrow will be a great day for the both of us
