    This dreaming experience is one of those in which my dream self loses all memory and understanding of what technology is. Such dreams have occurred regularly for many years but always with different distortions. While it is typical for my dream self to have no recall of current waking life or where I live, this type of dream is a more extreme example of the wondrous virtual amnesia of dream space (and is one of many reasons I do not believe in a "subconscious mind" or most of the predominant beliefs others have about dreams).
    There is the feeling of being in the Cubitis living room (last seen in waking life in 1978) though there is not much definition. I have started a private forum on the Internet, but I do not expect to have many active posters. The Internet content begins to appear on an A2 sheet of paper but eventually grows to A1 size. In a short time, when I go to one thread I had started, I read several responses from unknown people who are mostly writing content to each other, as it seems only a couple replies are relevant to my thread's subject.
    There is a strange offset scene where it seems America is importing water from South Korea, though South Korea is directly accessed by way of a cave adjacent to the Cubitis orange grove and facing south. (Caves correlate with anticipation of returning to slow-wave sleep, especially at the beginning of my sleep cycle.)
    Meanwhile, my Internet forum has various settings. I notice this after the page becomes unreadable because of pixelation. I see a pixelated palm tree bent to the left at the top of the page. I see a cluster of rectangular icons displaying different ways the Internet can appear. I notice one that displays a vertical wicker pattern while another displays a horizontal wicker pattern. I press my finger on the horizontal wicker picture. The A2 sheet of paper becomes a thin sheet of woven wicker, yet the writing is clearer.
    I consider deleting my thread since no one made any relevant comments regardless of receiving about twenty posts, though I am unsure where to press on the wicker to delete the content.
    My dream was partly influenced by an episode of "Pawn Stars," when they discussed different kinds of paper (including handmade woven paper) concerning an old document. Since childhood, I have been fascinated by how many dreams integrate indirect influence from television shows while having no other connection to waking life. Based on how I was solely a lucid dreamer until I began having less lucid dreams after watching television in waking life, I can easily ascertain how both watching television and non-lucid dreaming involves sensory deprivation and ignoring one's environment.

It is amazing how true this statement is! Paper as a technology has made such an impact in forming the world as we know it today, and I honestly wouldn’t want to imagine a world without paper. I think what is hard for most people is the idea of paper being a technology. It was developed and refined just like what most people would consider technology today (which is going to be something electronic, not something as “rudimentary” as paper).There is a long history to paper and I suspect it still has a lot of changing to do in the future.Â
