"Maybe now that I'm relaxing from the artfight struggle and constant designing I had to do for prep I can work on writing and start a fic-" Nope, I got hit with the design bug bad. Anyways here's my beta design/proof of concept for my Patchwork Doorstop Paranoia Daydream Jashling, Patches! I was just overcome with the idea to make a puppet since it fit with the name and also because the energy of the song seemed perfect for a puppet performance. But I didn't want to do a general puppet dragon since their triangular template didn't fit the downward hook beak look I wanted to go for. So I just went fuck it and dove into pure DIY, spending a day figuring out the techniques to see if it was even possible before spending hours on this. There's still a lot to improve upon, he's actually pretty hard to puppet and keeps falling apart because the only clear tape I have is two-sided. But that's for later, maybe once I'm used to actually making paper puppets. But I do wanna keep that cobbled together look to the point where I dunno if I should jump to felt like I kinda wanted to.
