Me:
Also Me: HELL YEAH!!! I just made PAPER 📝
Look how beautiful she is. I’ve been preparing weeks for this btw. This is so fun already, i’d like to think the next step up is going to be creating my very own paper-made journal 📓 (I bought an A4 deckle)
Block printed zine on handmade recycled paper.
I took a paper making and paper marbling class yesterday, and these are my favorite pieces.
Recently have been making my own paper and making notebooks with it

paper making (the old way, obviously)
I'm finally getting kinda okay at making handmade recycled paper. This shit is effort intensive as fuck! It makes me appreciate professional paper a lot. I take it for granted, but less now that I know how hard it is to make by hand.
I don't know why I'm so compelled to do this. It's not worth the labor in any measurable way... It's impractical, effort-intensive, hard on my body, and uses a lot of electricity (drying towels)... And yet, I am compelled. I am drawn to the slurry of paper slop. I must... I must do it...
