Riyo Chuchi in the traditional costume of a Pantoran Markgrevinde, and her arctic guarlara Moth, a gift from the Royal House of Alderaan
From The Untold Clone Wars Panel | Star Wars Celebration Anaheim
More of the backlog! I'm very fond of this piece, I drew it at the height of the bad batch hype!
been thinking a lot about Pantora lately, and it's potential role in any future 'clone rebellion' projects.
the above snapshot is from Pantora's Legends article, since we don't really know its fate yet in the disney canon. but i think it might be on the same trajectory -- or at least, i hope they're going that way.
In season 3, Senator Riyo Chuchi has a conversation with Senator Singh that indicates there's a "growing sentiment" amongst the Pantorans towards "a desire for true independence" -- so they're not just resisting the Empire, they want to break off from it entirely.
this would be a different but reasonable twist on the Legends version where the Empire simply ignores Pantora because it's too far away to bother with. (grid P19 on the map; it's on the outer rim of the Outer Rim.) or they could combine these two and have a mixture of the Empire wanting to be done with very pro-clone troublemaking Senator Chuchi and Pantora leaving the very anti-clone anti-good Imperial Senate.
either way, Pantora being free of the Empire lines up perfectly with Chuchi's ongoing clone support. i'd love to see Pantora become a sort of "clone hub" or "safehouse" for their growing numbers. (that lines up perfectly with the last paragraph of the above article to boot.)

Jedisona: Padawan Tavos Venn
High Republic era
Beast researcher
Tavos was born on Pantora, a cold Outer Rim world governed by the Pantoran Assembly. From a young age, he exhibited sensitivity to the Force, particularly in sensing the emotions and instincts of animals native to the frozen tundras of nearby Orto Plutonia.
He often wandered into snowfields to quietly observe the predatory narglatches, bonding with them emotionally in ways his family found eerie but fascinating.
“He doesn’t just see them—he feels them.”
