My prediction for the next development is that everyone will put down their contracts and move two seats to the left
ok but can we talk about how damen caught a propelling spear. fucking caught it as if was nothing, as if it wasnt about to rip him apart and all he cared about was laurent
sorry for contradicting you, but clary and simon are 16 in the movie (or rather getting 17). you can read that everywhere :)
I can quote Zwart and Collins in several interviews that say that they’ve age up the characters considerably to tell a different story.
"We’re old enough … I’ll e-mail it to you."
"It’s my birthday and I want to go to a club"
- Clary (First two minutes)
Also and this more technical than actual quotes, But if you dissect the Pandemonium scene there are hints that they’re much older than 17 or even 18.
Much of the club goers are much older for one
When the Blue Haired Demon is sitting at the bar, he’s surrounded by bottles of beers and empty drinks.
Simon asks Clary if she wants a drink … Simon couldn’t buy a drink at a club under the age of 21 unless they have Fake I.D.s (Which I’m pretty sure they’re not ”cool enough” to get) and or the bar tender is not doing his job. Trust me even when I was 18 and on stake outs at bars I couldn't buy Alcohol if I wanted too.
All evidence points to them being around 21-22 years old or at least old enough to buy drinks at a club that would be accused of pumping trance drugs into the ventilation, which no one would get away with in a club meant for minors in Manhattan these days (Maybe in Time Square during “The Year of Hell”)
PS. I’m going to post this, not to humiliate you or anything, just to put out my reasoning and deductions for the fandom on the age issue.
