Jiang Cheng will love Wei Wuxian.

My biggest piece of evidence for this is Chenqing. Chenqing is a representative of how WWX changed and had "fallen". Chenqing is a reminder that his brother was not who he'd once been. A corrupted flute that plays ghastly melodies for a corrupted boy who spoke ghastly words.

Jiang Cheng could have easily done away with the accursed thing. Broke it. Burned it. Cleansed it and the drowned it until it was too bloated with water to use... But he didn't.

He kept Chenqing.

He kept it and maintained it, all that time.

Waiting to see if it's flutist would once again do the impossible.

Jiang Cheng didn't idolize nor grieve who Wei Wuxian once had been. He grieved the brother he had.

Because if the choice was to have a brother entrenched in unorthodoxy or to have no brother at all? He'd rather have an unorthodox brother.

And he tells WWX that he still loves him, that he accepts him for who he is, when he tosses Chenqing to WWX during the Guanyin Temple scene. A single action that spoke of love, acceptance, and an attempt at reconciliation.

And I got tired of the games she would play.

So one day I told her that I wanted us to actually be friends. And that I realized I would imitate a lot of her behavior right back at her and that I was no longer going to do that.

I went on to say that I wanted honesty and transparency as that was something that was often lacking from her in our friendship.

So, I told her why she didn’t have any friends. She intentionally hurts people. She’s vindictive and manipulates people and it’s something other can see her doing. Even when she was hurt on accident she will go out of her way to make someone suffer because she was slighted.

She has a man that she loves but she punishes him for having a child before they were even together. Why date a man then on a regular basis tell him you wish he would have kept his legs closed? Or that you hate that he has a child because that means less money for him to spend on you? She was mad because this man who is a good father to his son wanted to watch him graduate the 6th grade rather than stay at home and watch raw that comes on every Monday.

People notice these things.

When I said I wished her peace and blessings I meant it. I also meant it when I told her I wasn’t going to put up with the same toxic behaviors and that I would hold her accountable for her actions and call her out on her bullshit. As she has a tendency to have different rules for other but does not apply them to herself. I meant it when I told her she needed to treat her man better because he didn’t deserve it. I spoke kindly, didn’t swear, and kept it civil.

Her response?

Cussing me out. Calling me a meek little lamb. She said I started to sound like everyone else. Which told me something new. That people in the past told her the same things. Tried to hold her accountable. Tried to let her know that you can’t treat people however and then expect them not to say anything. In that moment all the pieces made the picture a lot more clear. Then she told me to fuck off.

So I did. For the 1st time I blocked someone. On everything. And trust me when I say I looked through all my social media apps and messing apps.
