Panagbenga (aka the Flower Festival) 2026! Photos courtesy of The Baguio Public Information Office , which I encourage you to take a look at.
Our tourist season starts around the end of November and peaks all February long with Panagbenga. I remember when I mentioned it last year someone asked for pictures, and I don't think I ever posted any. This year's festival kicked off on the 1st with the traditional parade downtown, so I grabbed a few shots of it from the city's info page.
(Baguio, in case you didn't know, sits high in the mountains of Northern Luzon, and stays roughly ten degrees cooler than the lowlands year-round. We like living here, but if you ever move here, I advise you to have all groceries delivered in Feb, as the tourists cause huge traffic issues--a formerly ten-minute taxi ride can take an hour, lines for taxis can stretch about 1/3 of the way across the mall, and last night--a Monday--it took my wife and daughter over 2 1/2 hours to get a Grab at the supermarket. NYC traffic did NOT prepare me for tourist season in Baguio lol)
