Hay! It’s me and my crazy ideas again :D
So, I got this while watching youtube pamper routine videos.
Basically, girls in this videos ( mostly, but there are boys too! ) take some time to spoil themselves applying creams, doing face masks and scrubs, getting their manicure/pedicure done, taking a long warm baths with candles etc…
They all are different and beautiful, but I noticed one thing they have in common : they all take care of the physycal sphere of their bodies.
That’s obviously awesome and everyone should do it, but that made me think…
What about a psychological pampering routine? Putting some time together to spoil our minds too?
I don’t know if this idea already exists, but I wanted to build up a personal one and share it with you, so you can add more things to the list, adjust it to your personal preferences, and maybe have some fun like I did! :D ♡♡♡
So, here’s my personal mind pampering routine :
Meditation is good for your brain and it works perfectly as a starter, because it helps you looking at things in a different perspective. It helps you relax, and open your mind completely to embrace everything that will come next.
So the first step would be, for me, a 15-20 minutes of relax and meditation.
Music is another thing that your brain will love and thank you for. It could be rock, pop, classical, funny or sad, ambiental or chaotic, it’s up to you and your tastes! Take 20-25 minutes to enjoy your favorite music.
You can even do this together with step one, if your choice is ambiental/quiet music.
Everyone has their own spirituality. It can be a religion, a belief, or even just your deepest thoughts, your ideals and values, the way you take life, the questions you ask yourself, your life philosophy and way of living.
Take some time to care of your spirit.
If you are religious you can pray, or make rituals, and if you’re atheist you can think about your life, get a deep look at your soul, or just do something nice for someone, maybe take part to a cause you care for, or simply making a list of things you’re grateful for.
Enjoy looking inside your most intimate self.
This is my personal favorite of the list: feed your brain.
Culture is literally food for your brain, so in this step you’re going to / learn / something new.
Watch a movie, read a book, browse for something on the internet, try to get informations!
The most important thing here is that you are really interested in what you’re learning.
It doesn’t have to be difficoult or classical culture like history or literature.
You love anime? Watch one you never heard of before.
You like cinema? Try to watch something new, or maybe a cult movie you never tried.
You like steamy, hot sex? Get some sexual education!
The point here is to discover you can / LOVE / culture and learning!
I swear your brain will thank you for this later!
Another thing that your brain loves is being creative! ( as long as you don’t do it with a psychotic notebook. Okay sorry for the unrelated reference here )
Produce something!
If you love to draw, sketch something that makes you happy!
If you like to write, put your thoughts on a piece of paper, or invent a little story about your favorite subject!
Maybe you like to sew? Or diy ? Bricolage? That’s a great moment to do it!
Even if you think you have no creativity you could just have fun on paint, or make a meme or an instagram photo! Anything goes!
Take inspiration from the other steps you did before, like the music you listened to or the book you read.
5 ) Enjoy your new nourished and happy brain! :D
Again, I’m inviting you to add new ideas to the list and tell me what you think about it!
I’m tagging here the wonderful and adorable @shantilives because I’d love it if she liked my idea ♡♡♡
