I made palmiers
The picture looks a little more washed out than I thought. My kitchen’s lighting isn’t good for photos.
For the recipe I didn’t use exact measurements so I’ll try my best. Add more sugar and spices than listed if necessary.
recipe:
1 sheet of puff pastry (make sure to give at least 30 minutes to defrost if frozen before using)
Around 1/2 cup of sugar
around 1/4 of brown sugar
A few sprinkles of ground ginger, cloves, cinnamon, and nutmeg (all optional but suggested)
a pinch of salt
a table spoon of butter (if you need more use more
step one - after the puff pastry defrosted, roll it out with a rolling pin, but not to thin, only roll it a little
step two - put the sugars, spices and salt into a small bowl, you can just mix it with your hands
step three - melt the butter in either a microwave or a stove top, whatever you prefer, then with a pastry brush (or just pour if you don’t have one) lightly apply on the puff pastry . When you’re done put the sugars mixture on top of where you put the butter.
Step four - roll one end inward to the center then roll the other end until the two ends meet. Wrap in plastic wrap or something and put it in the fridge for 30 minutes
step five - cut the log into slices, don’t slice to thinly. I suggest sprinkle the redt of the sugar mixture on one side, you can try dunking both sides but they may fall apart. If you ran out of sugar mixture, just make a little more.
Step six- preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit, Celsius people your on your own in figuring that out. Put parchment on a baking tray and place the cookies on. Space them out. Yoh might need a second tray. Cook them for about 10 minutes, if they need more time put them in for more time
