Villa Maser, also known as Villa Barbaro, was commissioned by brothers Daniele and Marcantonio Barbaro and built between 1554 and 1560 by architect Andrea Palladio, who transformed an existing palace into a humanist country residence. The villa is famous for the frescoes by Paolo Veronese and stucco decorations by Alessandro Vittoria. Designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1996, it is a prime example of a Renaissance villa, integrating agricultural, intellectual, and artistic purposes.
