new to the beast prowling around his heart, new to the unknown mindset he has yet to face. his abilities weren't lacking but they had yet to be mastered like Erens. however he doesn't hold him accountable. the difference in their training was experience. still-- he finds himself having to be without leniency as he holds fast to a lock of blond hair to steady himself on armins shoulder,"Think you can move the boulder a bit further?"
weird was an understatement. when it came to titans, armin was used to being on the side of humans. the closest he’d gotten to them was usually when riding upon his best friend’s shoulder. never once had he imagined he’d be a beast himself. walls, was it difficult. at least if he’d been a regular sized titan, something like reiner or eren, it MIGHT have been easier. but gaining the colossal titan form was another battle entirely.
it was luck that he’d managed to not go r o g u e while training. it’d be easy enough to stop eren — all the measures they’d put into place over the years made sure of that — but he was still an anomaly. it was why the captain was always the one around during these training exercises. who better than humanity’s strongest to make sure the largest titan known to mankind behaved ??
he turns an eye to look at his shoulder, the small man still putting the fear of the walls into him even when he could simply squash him. not that he would, but that’s besides the point.
the blond shifts, the large body hard to control with its proportions. moving the boulder as far as he had had been taxing enough. not because it was heavy ( in this form nothing was T R U L Y heavy ) but more because of the effort he needed to put forth in controlling the large form.
knelt as he is, his large back is arched to keep a hand on the ground so he’s held upright. at the request, he starts to hate himself for getting down like this but pushes himself up anyway. briefly, he wonders what it’d be like to stand at the wall && see everything beyond it. he imagines it must be vastly different than standing there as a human. what it’d be like to travel beyond it && explore before he inevitably succumbed to the curse laid upon him. with his giant legs he could travel large distances with no trouble.
one step at a time, arlert, he thinks, large hands grabbing the boulder in question before starting to move. one step at a time.
