Palace of Treason by Jason Matthews is the 2nd book in the Red Sparrow trilogy. Dominika Egorova is one of the toughest characters you will ever read. JL did a nice job with the character in the movie, but there are many more layers here. And her ability to see colors is a great advantage in the books. Lots of tension here - never know if this is the moment Dominika is found out. Matthews puts some real idiots in charge of important places - Characters that make you scream “You idiot” The author gets carried away with a couple of things here. Each chapter ends with a recipe of food eaten in that chapter.
