From retro to contemporary - Pakola the nation’s first soft drink
Pakola has always been everybody’s favourite soda. The taste and tantalizing flavor is something which makes it unique, let’s not forget its color. It is one of those brands, which doesn’t need much advertising because the authentic taste and color of the drink is enough to make it one of its own kinds. Pakola as a brand evolved from being a national drink to international brand loved by overseas Pakistanis. The brand was evidently seen participating at the Gulf food festival, one of the largest food, beverage and hospitality fair. The event attracts food and beverage industries and professionals to Dubai from all over the world, whereas Mehran Bottlers made Pakistan proud by exhibiting its products.
The Pakola Company is one of the most successful brands in Pakistan. It is one of the benchmark brands which has been associated with the image of Pakistan. It has retained its market share as well as increased it to a considerable percentage owing to the brilliant leadership of Mr. Zeeshan Habib, CEO Mehran Bottlers (Pvt.) Ltd. The company operates one of the most modern can filling plants in Pakistan, producing top of the line cans readily available for consumption.
Having said that, Pakola recently launched its limited edition cans depicting it’s patriotism, and love for Pakistan. Each can illustrates a unique story annunciating the message of peace and harmony, beautifully portraying the Pakistani culture, favorite sport and honoring the Pakistan armed forces. This is not the first time Pakola has taken such an initiative; previously they came up with their special cans on the occasion of Pakistan’s 70th Independence Day. Their Azaadi canned drinks were unique and attractive, where they have added a picture of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the flag of Pakistan and a peacock on different cans. Pakola being the national drink of Pakistan represents the culture of Pakistan and they never fail to impress the consumers.
The new TVC which was conceptualized and shot last year tells us the same story – from retro to contemporary. The commendable and noticeable thing is that the brand has not used any celebrity to endorse their product, which we must say is a good approach because hiring a celebrity is too cliché and it fades away the real meaning by taking the whole mileage about their looks, styling and body language. Instead Pakola (being unique) took some fresh faces to relate the brand with Pakistani audience.
The TVC takes you to a nostalgic journey of your early days, childhood days we must say. The old times has evolved like our relationships but the taste of Pakola is still the same – it still gives us the patriotic feel and we can proudly own this brand as the real Pakistani product, this is why when we talk about celebrating Pakistan with Pakola and pride.

Pakola, Drink, Bottle by Talha Sarsiwala on EyeEm
Pakola Parti.
SO! Update...something other than my love life I've been asked to review these tracks on Soundcloud by a follower on Instagram.
From what I’ve listened it is a mixture of auto tune and some pretty dope beats. The lyrics aren't that bad and seem pretty cool, nothing super vulgar like some rap that's being produced these days. Some background of the artist is that well he’s in his early 20′s and is exploring music
I can tell he’s still perfecting his music and is finding his sound so in all honestly it’s a work in progress.
The one track I do like though is his recent release.. https://soundcloud.com/user-701930183/k-o-p-ft-xzanx-uub-pakola
Check him out, leave feedback, and share if you want...
