Steven and Painite after a hard days work doodle
Painite is one of the rarest gemstones in the world. Until 2001, only three painite crystals were known to exist. Prized for its luster, rarity, and surprising chemical complexity, this blood-red beauty is only found in Myanmar.

The rarest gemstones in the world Among these are Painite, once the rarest mineral, from Myanmar; Musgravite, a bluish-green gem from Australia; Taaffeite, with fewer than 50 known specimens; and Red Beryl, found only in Utah.
Today we come to you with a mock intro page featuring a few of our ocs! There's lot of lore but I'll save that for another day. More than anything, you'll be seeing a lot of Olive and Galaxy, the very first Diamond team!

Painite
Painite is a unique and rare gem, more specifically a borate mineral. It was first discovered in Myanmar (Burma) in the 1950s by British gemologist/mineralogist and gem dealer, Arthur C.D. Pain. First misidentifying it as a ruby, before it was discovered in the 1950s to be a new gemstone. It was named after him when it was confirmed as a new mineral species. It has a small range of colours, being a warm toned rock ranging from reds, oranges and browns. The cause of the colours are the minerals chromium and vanadium. This gem is one of the rarest in the world with being said to only be found in Myanmar (Burma) with only a few thousand crystals and fragments being found and even less considered valuable enough for faceting. Painite symbolises passion, motivation as well as being a chakra opener.
